As I regret to say, this is probably the hardest series race in the game. If I go ahead to other series, it will come back and haunt me at the end. Anyhow I want to save the formula GT for the end. I'm doin' the best I can at it, but could someone plz give my settings for the US one(not Euro edition) And any tips on how to take turns and stuff (they really suck) I brake until the read number matches my gear number, and do not accelerate until I know I'm going to hit the wall or miss it. I know The Line stuff, and I'm good at that, but can you please help me! The game is tormenting me!!!

First, what car are you using?

Tips:
Holding gas and the brakes helps alot when going around tight curves. Turns are the key to winning a race, because if you have a fast care you won't have to worry about beating them on the long-runs. If coming to a right turn (which I'm sure you already know this) stay to the left and cut in to the inside of the turn using gas and brake. Or if you need no brake do not use it.

Also, I've found not worrying SO MUCH about hitting the walls helps. Just stay on track.

Buy the best Yaris (Vitz) there is (not much choice), tune it to the max, and use super slicks as tyres. If you still can't win, it's just because of your driving skills.

this series is only difficult because the cars are evenly matched, which puts an emphasis on driving skill as the key to winning. You can't out run them. You can outsmart and outdrive them though. If you want to use super slicks, go ahead. They will give you a definate advantage as you will not need to pit and they will. I managed it with medium tires (which is what I think the competition runs). Make sure you qualify for the best possible position, as these are guaranteed to be close races. And when you get to SS11, don't get frustrated. This is the worst of the races, and the one that gives everyone the most trouble it seems. You can really make up time on the last 1/3 of this track by nailing the two hairpins and the two sharp 90° turns. I was back in 5th on lap 9/10, but i managed to win. I passed one car at the end of lap 9, two on lap ten on the hairpins and 90° turns and the last one i drag raced down the final stretch and won by four tenths of a second. Very exciting! Just don't give up and keep nailing the turns and you will be fine. Good luck!

the AI in the Vitz races is the worst at cheating in the entire universe.
i hate them.
i put $100,000+ in my Euro Vitz (even though 50k would've done fine) just to beat the living (or not) crap out of them.
they suck.
i'm done.

I think a lot of people are finding this Pro Vitz series challenging because they are ignoring precisely the things the earlier license tests taught them about underpowered cars and cornering. I remember running a Fiat 500R race in GT2 Online racing one time and the differences between people's times was frickin' amazing considering that we were all using a 22HP car. You wouldn't think there could be much variance in everyone's times with such little to work with but it's true. Penalties for not keeping tight to proper racing lines is exaggerated when you use these little baby cars.

I found the Pro Vitz races to be quite fun. I thought that with all the complaining I'd seen that it would be much harder to win this series than it ended up being so I took some extra care when setting up my Pink Little Buddy. I'll give you the stats when I finish the Elise races.

well none of them are hard for me but some are just plain out not exicing to play

That's fair comment, Dolby - I'm a bit of a fan of 'preservation of momentum' type racing - good example is the IS200 - I have one I've done everything to except touch the engine, and it is a hoot to drive, it lives or dies on the revs (helps that the chassis is good).

This was a good series - apart from the bloody Test Course. What sadist was responsible for that?

Right on Vat Man. Not many people out there interested in that kind of competition these days, but I find it worth while and quite fun. BTW, I just took the Clio Race Car for a spin around its series and that was a blast... what a great car.

Alright, as promised here's my Vitz settings. The only reason I think these will help is that I'm seeing a tendency for extremely stiff settings in those that I have seen from others online. I used to run really stiff too but through much trial, testing and error have come to the conclusion that the fastest settings are the softest settings you can get away with without losing confidence in the feel of the car.

Only by allowing the car's weight to shift around and incorporating it into your driving technique can you achieve the fastest times... or so I strongly believe. Anyway, here goes:

Vitz RS 1.5(J) @295hp or so.

Spring Rate: 4.5 | 5.0
Ride Height: 95mm | 100mm
Shock Bound: 3 | 3
Shock Rebound: 5 | 5
Camber Angle: 2.3 | 1.5
Toe Angle: 0.0 | -1.0
Stabilizers: 2 | 2

Brake Balance: 10 | 10

Tranny: Auto Setting 26 (28 for the Test Course)

ASM: 5
TCS: 3

I don't much like messing with gears a lot since I haven't been racing online I didn't mess with any of the ratios other than to set the auto setting a little bit so don't go thinking I got all scientific on that, it's just not necessary. With these settings it's fairly easy to cruise around all the tracks, mostly coasting rather than actually braking for many of the turns. Also, I used Racing Medium - slick tires to do the Pro Vitz series. You should have time for one pit each race and still win, regardless of whether the other cars pit or not. I noticed that some races they did and some they didn't. I just went in when I had a good 12 seconds or so on them and a lap or two to make up the rest of the difference. A couple of the races were close, but in all it wasn't difficult.

i am still stuck on it. i just can't race the vitz with super slicks. i can't fin settings that i like either. damn this infernal race. i envy all who have won it. anywayz if anyone could post some helpful tips that would be nice. i already tried the tires deal and i need the meds, so anything besides that would be good help.

You might just need to go back to the drawing board gk. This series isn't hard as long as your racing fundamentals are sound. Probably all this time you've gotten by in GT by using power to compensate for an underdeveloped racing technique. It would benefit you to improve your fundamentals because if you can't beat the Vitz series, you're going to have a hell of a time with the F1 series.

Run some time trials against your ghost for a while. Find faster ways through the corners and learn how to preserve momentum. Familiarize yourself with the braking points on the tracks. This is something all of the faster drivers have done. I myself have literally sat down and run a hundred laps on some tracks, learning nuances, bumps slippery spots and how to manage car attitude and weight transfer.

Take the tests over, go for gold or at least silver. Don't settle for just passing because your goal is to get better, not to complete them. Really get into the mechanics and physical aspect of the cars you drive, their differences, weaknesses and strengths. Take the time and make the effort to reach that next level... where you really feel in control at high speeds.

If you do it, I swear, your level of enjoyment while playing this game will greatly increase. The ACT OF DRIVING will become fun and the game no longer is simply something to pass time and work on completing. Go ahead man, dig in.

If you really want to improve fast, you could race against some other people's ghosts. If you have a SharkPort, I'll make some Vitz ghosts and send them to you for practice racing against.
