Help playing GT4 on Monitor

i bought this today http://www.rtv-veg.com/products/veglite/
but the picture looks grainy. i tried setting the game for 480p and i got the error screen.
here are the specs for my monitor, http://www.envisiondisplay.com/prod...t700g-specs.asp

should i take it back and get something else? will my monitor even handle 480p? also, what are componant cables? thanks.

also, does using an Svideo cable from the ps2 into the converter enable me to get a better picture?

i posted this in the HDTV thread, but it's sitting there... un replied to, :)
 
The S-Video input is the best choice you have on this device, so I recommend to use it. It will improve picture quality significantly, still, it's not gonna look perfect. And 480p or 1080i will not work at all with this box, so don't bother to try.
