Help please: 93 Toyota Pickup

Well, I'm currently driving a 1993 Toyota Pickup (not Tacoma, Tundra, T-100.....it's the Pickup) with an inline 4. It's manual transmission, but it's also the only car in the family that doesn't have a tachometer. This lack is a slight problem, as I don't want to go and kill something always revving too high before the engine warms up. So, here's my question(s):

1. What's the redline on the engine?
2. At what speed does each gear top out?
Currently, I'm guessing that 1st is around 20-25, 2nd around 40, 3rd up just under 60.
3. When in 5th gear, how many rpms does the thing pull when going about 80 mph?

btw...everything's stock on it (as far as I know) and there are basically no options from the manufacturer (thing didn't even have a rear bumper :irked: ).

Search for the specs on Google. It should turn up things just fine. I tried to figure out what redline and everything before, and what RPMs it would be at. You need tire size, and gear ratios, and final drive, speed, everything. It's just nutty.

My first car, a Hyundai Accent with a manual transmission, had no tach either. I just found out where the car redlined at. If you want to be a little bit more careful, just listen to the car. Trucks typically have a bigger stroke, so they set the fuel cutoff at lower RPMs. Unless your going to be either a) Driving it like a jackass (like I was doing) b) Racing it, you won't need to know what redline is.

If you hear the engine cut itself, stop and shift.

Google search...there's a good idea. So far, I haven't hit the rev limiter, but I do drive like a jackass a bit much. It's just that I don't really trust my truck to do anything semi-complicated (like cut off fuel supply) since it's about the cheapest thing that Toyota ever sold in the US.

It may or may not have a fuel cut-off. I don't know when those started or whatever and M5 just left, so who else knows?

Also, if it helps any. Don't drive like a jackass. The only things you get are tickets and horrible insurance rates.
