Help Sport Mode

I have a problem with the Sport Mode, I run a Ferrari 458 Gr.4 on the daily races and I realise that I'm much less powerful than my rivals.
For my rivals, it's easy to overtake me in a straight line whereas for me it's impossible, I've never yet managed to exceed ~215 km/h (~133 mph) while the other competitors are doing around ~240 km/h (~149 mph), I'm in the most total impossibility and even my personal settings are useless as they are cancelled out by the EdP (limited to 350 bhp and 1390 kg).

Thank you for your reply.

Here's a demonstration video of the car
Your throttle gauge is clearly not full at any time.

Whatever button/stick you're using for the throttle, if you're pressing/pushing it as far as it will go, is probably broken. It looks like it hits the same maximum value every time, so unless it's physically blocked from going all the way in/up, it's broken.

Try a different controller if you have one.
Some cars simply are slower than others.

As much as we'd all like to be able to drive whatever we want, all cars are different. If I remember correctly from Kie's breakdown of the Ferrari, in order to be competitive, you have to short-shift the car at around 50-75% of the way through the gear. Revving it out to the redline actually makes that car slower.

But that still won't necessarily make the car competitive - if you're driving against whatever the meta car is currently on whatever track you're racing on, you're always going to be at a disadvantage if you're not also in the meta car.

The white bar on the right indicates the games detection of your throttle input.
If this is not white to the same extent as in this picture, either your device is faulty or you are not applying full input.
If the bar is white as shown have a look on the opposite site, this indicates your braking input.
If this is not absolutely empty as in the picture, either you are applying slight input or your device is faulty.

If both bars are identical to the picture, then there still can be other reason:
  • some cars just have different top speed
  • slipstream
  • bad corner exit vs good corner exit
  • traction control cutting power for any reason

But all of this would be much easier to identify with just a short video of your gameplay, which you can provide with the tools the console is shipped with + a youtube account (which most people have because of their choice of their smartphone):

I had a similar issue with the 458 while driving in AT. When I got my wheel I started using MT and was 5-6kph on each straight quicker. This was holding the revs right to before cutout in 4th and 5th. Not sure about the short shifting but shifting in the right point will be much better in any car.

Here's a demonstration video of the car (I put it in manual transmission and had a very slight acceleration).
I'm following the lane assist and braking indicator (I haven't been playing for very long).
I've tried to change the car's bodywork to make it more windproof, but I can't because of the EdP.
(I even beat my record héhé)

I'm on DualShock on PS4

Thank you, I clearly have the impression that it's because of that, by forcing a bit on the lever and therefore being at max speed of throttle, I got up to almost 230 km/h and I could maybe even more.
