I'd like suggestions also. I race modded a '69 Camaro as you did and the thing is a pig! Both of my other RM's (ZR1/Elise) are a dream to drive.

I really don't want to spend big bucks on an outdated race car for 1 race.

can somebody give me the right settings for my Racing modded Camaro? I've seen a vid of that same camaro putting up a good fight in this race. But when I tried the race. Mine seems to get blown by..

If your grid shows a Toyota 7 or Chaparral 2J in 1st place then reload it for a new grid. Unless of course you're also driving one of those cars.

i just about tossed the ds3 at the screen last night.. bob was finally leading the Cote D'Azure race, twhen on the final turn of the final lap the 2J dirties him off the line and passes. I am starting to hate this event.

Lambo Countach Fully modded should do the trick.. did for me 👍

x2 :D

I don't get why people think this race is hard...

Sure, you can't use your X1 to crush the opponents, but then again..
In my oppinion the X1 should never been in the game.

I think you should do fine with the Countach...

My tip is fight fire with fire... win the Bspec GT World Championship and get a Zonda R which with a bit of tuning should win the ASpec Like the Wind which wins a Minolta 88 which in turn will win the Bspec Like the Wind (Bob could not win this with the Zonda for me) which wins you the Toyota 7 which then wins both A and Bspec Historic.

Ta Da

You can win the Toyota 7 in Like the wind B-spec, add 50 kg of ballast to the back of the car (kill B-spec Bob and put him in the trunk) and then you should be able to win pretty easily both a-spec and b-spec.

EDIT: Don't ask how, but some say that the corpse of a dead Bob in the trunk brings good fortune. Others say that the Toyota 7 simply is too light to be able to transfer all the power from the rear wheels to the tarmac and that the extra weight gives better traction.

I get why. Because the race is hard and because the good cars to use in this race doesn't grow on trees. For most other races you can just buy a premium car from the dealership, tune it a bit and it's a win. For this race you have to wait for a good car to appear in the used car dealership, or get 20 000 000 credits to buy a premium, or know which races to win to get the right cars.

Once you have the right car, yes it is easy. But before that it's not.

Ehh, win the Lamborghini Countach, fully upgrade it, put some racing softs on, maybe look for a tune in the tuning forum.

So in total... It will cost you max 200 000 Cr.

And to be honest... There should be alot more races like the historic one... At least you get some competition.

If you can, win the Jaguar at A-spec Indy endurance race (if you use the Redbull it's about 3 hours). Buy the best turbo. And good luck. My bob won the race by luck with it...

The Z28 Camaro is great!

You just need a little bit of tweaking in the suspension and the LSD and it should do it with ease!

If you still can't get it, send me a friend request and I'll lend you the Chaparral ( the good one) You'll win easily, and if not, kill your bob.... kill him good... kill him until he die from it...
and then, kill him some more...

Do B-Spec Like the Wind and use the Toyota 7 you win. Or borrow a car from a friend. The best cars for this event in my opinion are as follows.

1. Chaparral 2J Race Car '70
2. Toyota 7 Race Car '70
3. Ferrari 330 P4 Race Car '67
4. Jaguar XJ13 Race Car '66
5. Ford Mark IV Race Car '67

The last three are very close in performance and they're slightly ahead of the Ford GT40 Race Car '69 that you win in B-Spec Indy 500. It is important to give Bob a fully upgraded 2J or Toyota 7. He crashes a lot on one particular turn on the second race, and without one of those cars fully upgraded he won't be able to recover from his stupidity.

For A Spec I did the 1st race in the Lamborghini Countach (it took a few attempts) and the 2nd one in the Ferrari 512bb (surprisingly easy). For B Spec I got hold of a Chapparal 2j, 1st race was easy but Bob was little better than incompetent in Cote D'Azur. Took about 10 attempts to get a clean race without stupid crashes.

If you're in A spec then the countach is a great challenge and defo do able

For B spec, the more skilled used could probably do it using either the Jag XJ13 or the Toyota 7. but i like to just start the race and leave it so i trraded for a Chapparel 2J and whacked a big turbo on it :P

I was stuck on that forever because I didn't feel like dishing out mad credits for a car that was good enough. Then I decided to B-Spec for a day or so, got the Toyota 7 from one of the events, I think it may have been 'Like the Wind'. Saved me lots of credits and lots of trouble.

:lol::lol::lol:

He's right, but you first must get an LMP to race in like the wind B-Spec, and the Toyota Minolta you win in Like the Wind A-Spec will do the trick, or you can win the Jaguar XJ-13 by doing the Indy 500 in A-Spec.
Effectively, winning all these cars is a much better strategy.

I did it with a 2D. it wasnt as fast as the 2J, and it took all day to tune it down to perfection, but I finally ran 5 perfect laps each race, and just sqeeked out a couple of wins. The trick is to not play defensive. If the 2J tries to pass, stick to your racing lines, and hope you can catch him. You should generally be faster in the turns, and the 2J on the straights. (you will brake quicker than him too, so use that to your advantage on the straights.)
Boy, a fourth gear really would have helped, tho...
