Hi guys, I have some doubts that this has bothered me for years.

The Gran Turismo 2 had updates this is true?
There are 3 versions of Gran Turismo 2 European, American, Japanese.
Only the American, Japanese versions have been updated?
Gran Turismo 2 Greatest hits is an updated version?
Gran Turismo 2 Platinum is an updated version?

I'm asking this because I'm worried about not taking the risk buying a bugged version

I think the update was because some of the original discs had a glitch that erased your garage after awhile. As far as gameplay goes I don't remember any differences.

I don't remember the Greatest Hits being any different from the standard US version, except for the packaging.

I understand what you are talking about, but I heard that there is version 1.1 (Japanese) 1.2 (USA)
 
Another bug was you could only get 98.2% percentage max, but with the update the obvious 100%.

Greatest Hits is an updated version, far as I know.
