Hi I use the DFP first off, also i've read through almost all of these forums i espcially carefully read tank spankers drift reference in his sig, anyway i tuned my car the way he said, and I tried tweaking my car/settings but i can't seem to get the car to go around the turn I can get it to go sideways and start sliding throught he turn but midway through i'll just keep going straight the only way i can get it to go already the way around is to use the e-brake which isn't good i think, anyway i'm using a fully modded out RX7 250 HP i got the fully customizable LSD, suspension etc.. anyway if you guys have any tips itd be awsome

Try my only drift settings for the Subaru STi Sedan WRX, it's been "prized" as too easy and more FR like settings by Swift:D Just try it, they're listed at the end of the drift settings depot if it's not edited by TankSpanker yet:) You shouldn't look past this and you should DEFINATLY try it :D

Otherwise if it doesn't work, sorry mate:indiff: maybe you could explain your problem with this car if it doesn't work for you, hang in there:tup:

hey...u can always check out the drift settings post...they have what you are lookin for...hmmmm well u can start off with a close transmission, 2-way LSD, brake controller, and racing breaks...that is more than enough to drift a car...good luck and god speed

Hey I got a GTO like a 04' I think and all I did was buy the best of everything, and then added like N2 tires, and changed the camber to [F]3 / [R]0 and I have had so much fun with it. It burns out all around the entire track and to get used to the power just leave the driving aide on for [understeer] till you get used to the car then bring it down to 0.

Welcome to the forums dimluck13 :)

if you could post the settings you have used on your RX-7, it might be helpful. Others could then try them out and finetune them slightly to generate more rotation.
If you have the ability to post a short clip of your drifting, that would be even more helpful.

Their modifications may not agree 100% with what you want from the car, but it may give you some ideas on what could be fixed up a bit.

[edit]from what you've described, I would initially try a little more negative rear toe, it should pull the tail out a little farther after you have initiated some slip (since weight will be focussed on the outer rear which is pointed sightly away from the apex).[/edit]

it may also just take a greater period of time to understand how the car must be treated. I sometimes get the feeling after 1 or 2 laps of trying that the car needs some settings changed. But if i stick with it for 10 or so laps, i begin to better understand its 'personality' and my drifting improves.

Yeah...what he said ^

Also, the FD and all rotary engines are low on torque. So it takes a little more weight shifting to get them around the way you want. Try some soft feinting, check the drift reference in the techniques section, this should help to swing the back out.

Also, and I'm sure I'll say this again soon. throttle control in GT4 is a paramount issue. You must be able to continually blip the throttle. Don't just try to floor it the whole time, that'll cause nasty issues.
