Help with fogging windows

I have a '89 Integra that my mom bought from a yard sale a while ago. While I love the car to death, one of the few problems I am experiencing is that my windows seem to fog up easily. The front window isn't too much of a problem, but I seem to be stuck when it comes to the rear and side windows. The rear defroster doesn't seem to work. I've talked with a friend who drives the new '04 Accord and he also said that his rear window tends to fog up a lot so maybe it is just a Honda/Acura thing? Any advice or input?

I had the same problem in one of my cars. I ended up buying some spray that made it so that condensation wouldn't stick to the glass.

Some kinda magical defogger crapola.

I have no memory of where I got it though.
 
One way you can see if your defroster is working is to have the car at idle, then switch it on, and listen to the engine. You should beable to hear a difference due to the increased load. Another way is to take a test light and connect it to the defroster connector on the rear window(like a little plug thingy on the side of the window), and touch the prong on each of the metal heating elements on the outside of the window. The light should light up if it's working. You ofcourse have to have it turned on to see the light.

Also, make sure that you turn the heat on Fresh. Recirculate will fog your windows.
 
Rain X makes a defogger you can put on the window and it won't fog up as easy. I put it on my windows and it makes a big difference.
 
on the inside, spit on the windshield and rub it all over then wipe off. Hey it works on scube diving masks :D

That is the stuff I used I am pretty sure.

It worked great for me.
 
Rain X stuff is always great...I wish I could have thought of an idea like that.
 
Definately try that Rain-X stuff.

By looking at your location, I don't think that you get much snow down there in Georgia, but make sure that snow/ice are off of your shoes/clothes or any other thing that might contain a lot of moisture. When that snow or ice melts and evaporates in your car, your windows will really fog up. Riding with your windows down for a few minutes will also help clear out that moisture laden air that is trapped in your car.

Yeah rain X works great, although I prefer the name "magical defogger crapola." has a nice ring to it.
 
Did you know that flipping on your AC will clear fog off your windshield in a matter of moments?

Works well when it's raining in the summer time.

Ya but is your bimmer stock? My truck has a ton of money in it.

Anyways you can go to AutoZone or any other auto parts store. K-mart even had it, just go to the auto section of any non auto parts store as well. You'll find it.
 
wind a window down... the airflow will completely stop fogging
