Help with "freezing" problem during loading

Hi guys! I'm in desperate need of your help... I downloaded the 1.06 update last friday and all if a sudden ever since the update was installed, the loading time in GT5 has been excruciatingly long - to the point that it sometimes seems to freeze or hang but will load after around 5 (or more) minutes. Have any of you guys experienced the same thing or could there be a problem with my internet connection or the PS3 itself? I don't think it's the PS3 because my unit is just about a month old. Thanks in advance!
 
Disconnect your LAN cable, or shut down your wifi router.

Thanks mate! Will try that later... but wait, how can I connect online if I shut down my wifi router? (I can't connect by LAN since the modem/router is on another floor in the house.) Should I like, restart the router or something because this was never a problem before the v1.06 patch.. :(

have you installed the whole game? go to options and see if you installed the whole 8gb

Yes I did! Ever since I got my GT5, before I started everything, I made sure I installed the game and all the latest updates as well. :( But yeah, I'll check that out as well. Thanks mate!
