I've seen a few posts about Sophy issues post 1.71 and most (though not all) of the issue come down to the tweaks the made to the cars which seem to be a little rushed and incorrect. So, for best results with you GR3 Sophy races, here's some tips. I've attached a few video at the bottom so you can see the results.
First up, Sophy seems to be ranking itself by race position. So, which ever car is in P1 is the best driver and P20 is the worst. This is dynamic through the race as cars change position, which ever car is ranked higher will be a little better. The last car is always the worst. The cars I recommend are the Audi Evo, The AMG Evo, The Lambo, The 296, The GT3R, and the BRZ. You can mix and match as you like of course, but these are the cars that give the best challenge in my opinion.
The AMG is great stock - do nothing to it.
The GT3R needs a diff tweak.
The Lambo needs a diff and aero tweak.
The BRZ needs an aero tweak
The Audi gets an aero tweak. This is the same aero that I put on the Lambo. You can leave the Audi diff as in the picture, or change it to match the Lambo. Both work.
For other cars that are under 720pp, add the medium power option and adjust the power restrictor to 720pp or 70%, which ever comes first. You can adjust the power as you like, this is just my suggestion.
As for the race settings, I recommend leaving the fuel and tire usage as 1X or 2X. I recommend strong slipstream, and turn on the damage to whatever level you prefer, but turn it on.
As for the boost, here is an example without boost (only 3 laps)
Here is an example with weak boost (it's a short video, but you'll get the idea)
Don't try to out think the AI. It's not trying to out think you. It's designed to give you a good experience, not outwit you. This will avoid the issues with mega-boost if you get too far ahead.
