Below is my cockpit setup. I'm pretty happy with it for racing but I'd like to be able to use the computer for other games. Any ideas of how I could add some sort of adjustable keyboard tray. I'm not all that handy so the less complicated the better.

I just use a lapdesk with my playseat. Look them up online they make a pretty decent one for gamers that will hold your keyboard and it has a plenty big enough attachment on the side for your mouse. It's got enough room that I don't run into trouble often with it playing FPS.

Here is the one I use. Sorry i gues it's not called lapdesk it lapworks. http://www.laptopdesk.net/futura-with-regular-mouzpad-and-max-mouzpad.html

I use a logitech G15 keyboard and actually have enough room that I removed the smaller extension on the left of it. It's not the most sturdy piece of equipment but it's really not bad at all. The i'm sure there is some flex in it while your using it, but I don't notice any. It also comes apart fairly easy so that if something happens it jsut pops apsrt instead of breaking. It's not so easy that it comes apart while using it, but easy enough to where it won't break if snagged on something. I've had mine for about 2 years and can't complain. It's served it's purpose for me.

It's actually pretty decent and literally takes up no room because your keyboard and mouse just sit right on it. I just sit it on the floor beside me, and pick it up when I want to play something besides racing games. I do though have the CSW so I can remove my wheel when I'm playing non racers. It was kind of a pain when I was using the turbo s wheel because then you had to move the entire wheel forward or it was kind of in the way.

I have a similar setup and the same intention as you. I have decided to make a little table on wheels (castors) with the keyboard/mouse tray bit removable so I can sit it on my lap for FPS etc
I have made the tray from 12mm MDF and rounded the edges with a router - might cover it with some vinyl but I'll see how it goes without.
