Hi guys. The point of this thread is to see if any of you could help me or give me some advice solving my G27's problems. I mainly play GT6, and it really kind of ruins the gameplay for me with some of the cars.

First of all, here's what happens: once I plug in the wheel it seems to be working properly, the H shifter and all the buttons in the shifter device work just fine. But then, when I try to use the paddle shifters, the don't respond unless the wheel is rotated, at least, 90 degrees to the left. In that case, the paddle shifters work as they're supposed to, but when the wheel is straight, slightly steering to the left, or at any degree to the right, they just don't work. Furthermore, all the buttons in the center of the wheel seem to be "remapped" under the same conditions as the paddle shifters. In GT6, the upper-left button is supposed to trigger the rear view, but it just does nothing unless the wheel is rotated 90 degrees to the left, and the lower-left button, which normally flashes the lights, does both things: flash the lights and look behind.
On most road cars and some race cars this isn't that much of an issue, since I use the H shifter anyway, but on the cars that don't support the H shifter, it ruins the whole experience for me, since I have either to use the automatic transmission, or use some of the buttons on the shifter to upshift and downshift. Oh, and by the way, the wheel is outside of the warranty period.
Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated
Thanks a lot guys!!

It sounds like the wiring harness for the wheel might not be plugged in properly. Hopefully it is on the wheel side, but I'd check both ends to make sure.

If you've not taken a G27 apart before, it's covered in this thread: G27 Knee Clearance. You'll see the wheel PC board clearly and the main PC board and connections are easy to see once you remove the top of the wheel base.

Keep us posted as to your findings :)

Wow, thanks for the tip. I'll give it a try this weekend and see if I can solve it out. I'll keep you updated :)
