Help with Options screen

Hi, I was trying to play gran turismo 1 with my new Driving Force EX, and it worked, but there was an enormous deadzone, so I went to the in-game settings looking for some way to fix it.
I found a page called "Analog Settings 1P" (and "Analog Setting 2P") which has 3 settings (Steering, Acceleration, Brakes), but they're all listed as N/A, and I can't access them.

How can I change those settings?
Any other tips?
 
I never found out how to unlock those settings either. And I don't think you can do anything about the deadzone since GT1 came out before DFEX, so wheel support in-game will be nonexistent.
