I need some help wit the settings on the speed 12. I am a competent GT3 player but cant get the speed 12 to stick widout havin tcs @ 5. its shameful. i got 2 versions of the speed 12, full spec & totally stock. wots the best settings for it or shall i drive it stock. i really wanna learn to drive this beast. heard so much good things about it which makes sense. raw power, lightweight body, great aerodynamics & good handling apart from the spinning (which i probably make happen). HELP!

Learn her stock.

My tips are:
ASM OFF! TCS 1 or 2 (depending on how much it scares you)
Only accelerate when the car is pointing straight.
And this one's the charm:
When you brake for a corner, do everything as you normally would, but as you make your turn-in change UP a gear. This should help you, by limiting engine revs, and so therefore power and torque also.

Once you've got it running fine stock, go ahead and tune it (I've never actually tuned mine though - it's close to sacriliege).

when accellerating out of a corner be one gear higher or even two than normal and it will be less likely to spin.... the trade off is lost acceration. :)

Yeah, take it for a few runs stock, don't accelerate while turning is you have TCS to 1 or 2, and when it's full tuned, it's hard...I haven't even taken my full tuned Speed 12 out yet...I'm scared of it...

Then once you graduate from TCS 2 down to 1, put it to zero. Once you master that put on Sim tires fully tuned like I do.

Although I didn't go through these steps; I just tuned it put on sim tires and did the last 2 Hour endurance race I had left and spun in circles for the first half hour. I can only drive it when I'm really concentrating, plus I use the X button instead of the stick for throttle. People say it is easier to use the stick but I'm to lazy to mess with my input method...

I said I could drive it, I never said I could drive it good...

99% of the problems with the Speed 12 can be solved by pressing the accelerator less (difficult with the D-Pad). I think from memory it can spin its wheels at pretty much any revs in 3rd and less - and it puts on speed a lot more quickly than people realise.

The Speed 12 takes a gentle touch of acceleration. To practice how much acceleration is required and not to spin the tires, before every launch of a race, put the engine RPM at 5,000 and see it the tires smoke. If they do, reduce it by 500 RPM. When you find a good launch RPM, remember the pressure you used to stable the engine's RPM level and use that pressure to accelerate around corners in a race. After that , accelerate in a smooth, even manner so you don't let the tires smoke at all. Tires smoking while accelerating means you are loosing traction and is the cause of a lousy race time and spinning out of control.

Hope that helps.:D
