Hi guys
I'm thinking about getting the Rev Burner board from SymProjects to connect a VW golf mk4 or 5 speedo to my pc, but I'm not sure if I can do it properly. If anyone has any experience connecting any speedo to the Rev Burner, can you briefly explain it? Because I don't wanna spend a whole bunch of money for nothing
Thanks in advance

I use a rev burner for a Tachometer and the games I mostly use it for are iRacing and the Sim bin series. The rev burners can also be used for Speedometers as well but you didn't mention which game you want it for, you can see the games that are supported for a rev burner through the Sim Dash Here

I'm familiar with the software side of the thing, my only concern is the cable connections. I looked up 3 or 4 different car dashboards and they have 3 sockets on the back, I think I'll have to remove the back and connect the required cables by looking at the wiring scheme for the car. I was just wondering if there's someone who actually connected the speedo and the tacho from a car, I can handle the software part after that.

Basic wiring instructions will come with your rev burner, I connected my Tach without any problems. I wouldn't think the Speedometer would be any different.

I have had success with wiring a couple of Tachs off of car clusters, I didn't bother with the wiring harness on the clusters that I have they all had three screws and I just wired the rev burner right to the screws. on my first go I had a look at the tach and just guessed at the wiring (followed a ground wire) and it worked. the Second cluster ( purchased cause the first one has a mechanical speedo) I was lucky enough to have markings on the back that supplied ground. So to make a long story short can be done and shouldn't be too hard.
