Help with unlocking 2 cars...

I have 209 cars now, but I know I am missing the Caterham Super 7 and the Dodge Viper. Which cars and tracks should I use to make unlocking them the easiest possible? This is in Free Race by the way.

Thanks in advance. I love this game. Alot. Wish I had DFP, but I am only 14. :guilty:

you should select the same class for each missing car. keep repeating till the car that your missing is shown in the grid before the race.

What class is the Caterham? I am assuming the Viper is Class A....

I'm almost positive that they're both class A. I don't know what you should use for the Caterham, but for the Viper, using a powerful american car might help.

However, as rsmithdrift was hinting at, Driving Revolution is the best way to unlock cars in Free Race. If you've been spending lots and lots of time in Free Race to get to where you are, you could've saved yourself a lot of trouble..... :sick:
 
I reckon. It took me as long to unlock the Nismo S15 as the hardest single DR challenges were to get S.

I also get to practice controlling oversteer more in DR than in FR, because I tend to undershoot in FR and go balls-in in DR.
 
I have finished Driving Revolution with all S up to level 15. I haven't done 18, because I suck at drifting. But 18 isn't part of the main DR is it?

Anyways, I won the Viper last night. Wich car should I use to get the Caterham?
 
If you want to know which car is missing, check the list and find which car number in your list (the LIST option in the search engine): http://www.konami.jp/gs/game/enthusia/eng/model/aud_ger_0.html

select a car next to the missing one (doesn't have to be in the same class, coz sometimes when you pick high class cars, your up against low cars). for easy win, use the speediapolis ring or the tsukuba. Just those two, since they're pretty easy IMO. if the car that you want doesn't show up on the grid, change course and select the same track for about 5 times or so, if it still doesnt show up, then switch to another course.
 
Hmmmm....Thanks for the help so far, but I still haven't got it. How did you guys unlock it, if you can remember? Getting all S in Driving Revolution just doesn't seem worth it for one car.
 
Driving Revolution was my main mode, so that's how I got it. The Speediapolis Ring DR level unlocked the NSX-R for me (just FYI). If you go to unlock it in FR, make sure you see the key there when the race starts. And follow GarouGT's advice.

Lvl 18 is not part of the main DR mode, it's just a bonus stage for all the drift nuts.

My game has never had the key.... I still unlock cars, but there is never a key.


EDIT:Which DR level do I have to get all S on to get the A class cars?

i dont think there is a goldkey in this game, maybe in the japanese and international versions mayb. Because when i win a race in FR, even though i dont see any gold keys in the corner of my screen, i still get the cars. can anyone clarify this, or am i just blind?
 
I have the Japanese version and a gold key appears when there's a car not yet unlocked in the grid. after the race the key "opens" and then you know you've won the car.

I got on a streak and did like five races where i constantly got a new car. It's hard to unlock them after you get past 190+ cars.
 
The NSX R was one of the first cars you get in Driving revo for getting all A's i think in the second or thrid level.
 
God, I hate Driving Revolution. I just got 80% and it says "Car unlocked: Class A cars are now selectable". But when I go to Free Race or Time Attack, it says I still only have 210 cars.

This is getting frustrating.

EDIT: I absolutely hate driving revolution. I just want this one car, so I can quit. How much percent do I need for all A class?

Some of these tests demand throttle control you can't get with a controller. And some are just dumb, like the last mystic caveway one. The hitting the wall penalties are also stupid.
 
A little off-topic, but you can cheat on the level 18 tests if you don´t like drifting. You just have to control trottle with the clutch.
 
Well guys, I got it. Thanks for all the help. I just had to do the challenge level. Not all S, I just had to finish it. That clutch trick saved me. :)

Now Im gonna take my Super Seven 'round the ring. :sly:

I did know nothing about this trick. I hate some cheats or tricks, but in this case, I think, better to use it. Fiew times I think that it's impossible to do this. But it's possible to do this without some tricks. :) Beleave me.
But if you have no much time for enlarging your skill - better use some tricks. It was weekends and nothing bother me. One day - all EXTREME complete with two of them with "S" rank. ;)
