So I got me an x-port (£17.99 cheers famine)

Of course, being stupid I didn't think that my PS2 being hooked up to my big tv in the lounge, and my PC being in the kitchen would be a problem, doh!

So, after I borrowed my dad's laptop, we are away! Cool, I can now easily beat the Yaris cup in Pro using my Tuscan disguised as a Yaris etc etc.

2 things.

1. Can I export a car, meddle with it, then import it back in as a new car? (I'm using MKs BTW)

2. I tried to import 2 cars that I got the stats for on here, a Spoon Civic, and a ZZII, but it said wrong region or something.I checked it and they were both US so I changed it to EU but it still didn't work, any ideas?

Cheers chaps.

1- It depends on what U mean by a new car. U can import it back in as a changed car, in place of the old one, or any other car in the garage, but not as an additional car.

2- Assuming that U saved the carfile (ini) after changing the region to EU, it should work. I have found that sometimes it's simply matter of closing and reopening MK's to make it work.

Yay! Jez joined the X-port club :D

You can export any car you want to an ini file, meddle with it in mk's and import it back, no problem.

When playing with region alteration, make sure you don't leave a space after the "=" sign - this is a common error. As Heydu says it's also often the case that if you just close mk's and re-open it should work. Failing that, feel free to e-mail anything dodgy to me and I'll try and work it out.

cheers mate I'll have a play around and see what I can do / can't do.

I've got the hang of export/import now though.:D
