Help with Xbox 360

Hi,

ok today I was about to play a game on my 360 which I very rarely use - maybe once a year - Ok, thing is I can't find the power supply anymore! I kinda know where I had it, I always had it in the same place - however, it's gone, I actually think my mom threw it away, but that doesn't matter, I can't find it and I need a new one...

So, that turns out to be a LOT more difficult than I imagined, the back of the Xbox says "refer to the manual", the manual doesn't even mention what kind of power supply it is, not to mention which one exactly... Tried to find something on the internet, but there are so many different models and power supplies, it's impossible for me to find the right one.
Tried xbox customer support, have to log in there with your gamertag or create a new account, just to ask a question! Horrible.
Oh, well, sorry for the little rant, but I really figured that would be easier to find out, you know like, they could just write it on the box...but nope!

So, I hope someone here can help me.

It's a xbox 360 elite 120 GB

PAL version

has hdmi (apparently not all xboxes have hdmi)

on the back it says a lot of japanese stuff, but I could indenify it says 12.1 A, I suppose that's the power it needs and I think it needs 120 watts, but I couldn't find that out?

So, if I go get a power supply and cable from ebay or something, what exactly do I need to look for?

This is one from my 360 elite, hopefully it will help!

Edit-I noticed the pic is blurry in spots, if anything needs clarifying, let me know lol.

Thanks, I'm pretty sure this should be it, but I can't really read the model number (the second line from above), that's what I'd need to know please and are you in Europe, yes? (not sure, if that matters, but it might, lol)

edit: damn I see you're in USA, well you could still tell me the model number, it might help find me the right one... This is the right one, except the watts are probably wrong 120 vs 240? But I don't know, if these power supplies are universal...

Yeah not sure if this will be an issue when it comes to US vs Euro adapters but might be a start.

Yeah, I hope so and thank you!

I'm really mad at amazon right now, they don't have any rules for descriptions on there, do they, lol.

No seller from what I've seen tells you the model numbers or which xbox the supply is for, they just say, fat or jasper... even the Microsoft site says stuff like Model E, Model S... super confusing, I have a xbox 360 elite and not a "Model E", haha *sigh*

I'll call them tomorrow, I don't want to fry my xbox, just because of too much or little voltage, but I bet this will be difficult and they won't have an idea either, lol.

But, anyways, thanks again!

This is one of the problems, I have no idea, if it's a slim model, but I don't think it is. It's incredibly huge compared to my PS3 super slim, lol.

It's a xbox 360 elite with 120 GB, that's all what is written on the box as far I can tell...

So, I called xbox costumer support and they didn't tell me which power supply I need, but offered to send me a new one, if I give them the serial number and my credit card information...

Ordered one from amazon now, I hope it's the right one, it's says 150w and 12.1 A so I "think" I should be safe, it's still pretty frustrating, because, as I said, my own power supply was extremely silent (I didn't even know these things have fans!) and who knows what I'll get now, if it even works.

Kind of bummed xbox customer support didn't want to tell me which one I need and instead only offered to send me a new one and only, if I give them my credit card info, which I don't have and would never give to them even, if I had one.

But, yeah, kind of my own fault for losing the supply in the first place, I just have no idea how that happened. :/

Yeap, that's exactly my console, so I bought the wrong power supply it seems, IF this is the Xbox 360 E console?

Will the 150w damage it, if it only needs 120w?

I mean it would seem like it, but then there are people who use 1000w supplies for their PCs and they never use this much? (Apparently I don't really know how these things work, ugh >< )

So, according to this thread the watts don't really matter as long they're high enough and I bought the right one, it seems?
It's still very confusing with all the different plugs and wattages.
I bought the grey one, not the one for the slim...

Sorry for the bump, but I'm still worried this'll break my xbox...
Will the plug even go in the system, if it's not the right supply?

(it's not here yet, but it'll arrive soon)
