Hey. Although I haven't made many friends here, I'm asking for help. My ps3 is failing to pick up any disc I put in so I'm going to have to buy a new playstation unless I get this fixed. Any suggestions on what to do. I have also forgot my password for the account and the birthday I used was shotty as well so I can't really replace my data without a miracle from Sony AU..

Did you save in a flash stick your data???
I did that before my PS3 burned so i dont have to start from scrap
when i buy a new one,unfortunately i don't remeber my account to.
Create a new account mate and put the save data in specific file
 
Although you probably hate me, I'm still going to help you ;)
But try to contact someone who knows about computers well enough for it to be their job. I had this issue as well with my old PS3. Apparently the drive just overheated. It couldn't play any other disc. You can either replace the drive, or you can buy a new one. If you are buying a new PS3, what you can do is back up your files from your current PS3 and then transfer it to your new PS3. I suggest buying a flashdrive only for your PS3, because if you use the flashdrive for other reasons, the PS3 will not read ANY of the files.

To summarize what I just said:
1) See what is the main issue with your PS3
2) Buy a flashdrive solely for your PS3
3) Back up your current PS3 files to the flashdrive
4) When you get your new PS3, transfer the files from the flashdrive to your new PS3!

I know all about transferring data, but it wot let me use my data on a different account. And without the password I can't make a new account.

What you can do is try to retrieve your password... like go to the PS website and go to forget my password and then you SHOULD be fine...

Are you saying that the system wont read the disc or that the system wont take the disc into it. Because I have a problem sometimes whenever I eject a game it wont let me put another one in. To solve that I have to put the disc in as far as possible then restart the system and the disc will finally go in. And if you still have a warrenty and the recept just copy the game data on to a flashdrive, go to a store get a new ps3.

Technically it does as this is the reason purely why the account was made. I have no other reason for his account.

It's arguable that this has something to do with Drag Racing because that is why the account was made, but the problem isn't about drag racing.
 
One of my best mates had a similar problem. Unfortunately for you making a birthdate you cannot remember might end up being your trouble. If you have to restart ill hop on and give you a car or two, or even help run in some. I know we got off on the wrong foot, but I think it's because I'm not used to seeing another Aussie so fast. Does it really matter? The guy had a legitimate question that could end his drag career.
