when I try and add a new gameshark code to my gameshark 2 after i finish typing in it's name it'll show the "updating code list please wait..." thing as usual but when it's done the spot where words scroll across on the bottom changes to words in red that say "hardware not detected" and it's pissing me off cause i check to make sure the gameshark memory card thing is in tight and it is. does anyone know why this is happenning and know how to fix the problem cause it's making me get pissed to the point that i'm about to throw the ****in controller hard enough at my wall that it will put a hole in the wall or it will shatter

Mainly the problem is that gamesharks BITE. Try cleaning the contacts on the dongle thing with some isopropyl alchohol, and see if that helps. If not, go get a codebreaker, or xport.

I used to have that problem on my old PS2. What I had to do was move the dongle (I hate that word, why the hell would anyone in there right mind name anything a dongle is beyond me.) around in the memory card slot. Sometimes I would have to pull it out just slightly to make it work.
