Here's an odd one: "fewest members online"

A group of friends and I recently (`bout a month ago) started our own little web bb (using phpBB) and got all the way up to 8 members online (w00t!).

I've noticed that GTP rarely has fewer than 30 users online and I don't think I've seen less than 20 users on in several months. Do you think there is an easy way to keep track of that? "Fewest members online in the past month" or something.

Yea but fewest members online could be considered as Negative Stats :down:, with :gtp: being so great are we maybe better to concentrate on Positive Stats :up:
 
Interesting idea, but I'm not sure if negative statistics are something to promote! :)
 
Jeez LM, you should've been here yesterday... there were "only" 15 people on at one point. :D

Mind you I suppose there are bigger forums than this (although probably not as nice :) )

Mind you only a small amount of those members are active if you know what I mean. Mind you I think this place would go downhill if there were too many "active" members, wed probably get even more 12 year old peopl who think a french GT4 site is real and 15 year olds finding a picture of an integra and saying that its their car, oh and even more 19 year olds who creat huge threads of spam claiming it to be usefull. So Id rather just stick with the amount of active users we have already.
 
I wonder how difficult it would be to get "active users in the past X days" ... ? Because "total members" becomes useless when you realize that probably more than half have never posted, and have never come back the day after they registered.

I think its allot more than half of the users that dont post.
How many as an average guess whould you say how many users are regular posters here?

Id say 100 or so but im probably wrong :)
 
I did a search on the Members Page for people who have posted in September (2002-09-01 00:00:00) and got exatly 300 replies. So that's a decent answer to your question I suppose.
