the shigeno ae86 should be pretty easy to drift..... set the LSD to 40,50,60..... Hp to approximately 300 hp, or 380 if your having problems initiating drift..... camber should be around 3-4....springs are 10 in the front, 8 in the back, lowered slightly.... and stabilizers to 3 or 4... Good Luck with your video

tryin look at the faqs on the stickies and if u got a wheel click on the link to the drift bible video and need settings etc

I'll also ask that you go back and re-read the Acceptable Use Policy and the Terms of Service. Most importantly the section that states "* No slang words that promote laziness, ie; "r", "u", "plz", etc.

* Half decent grammar is expected. Use of capital letters starting sentences is looked upon favorably. Spelling half decently is also encouraged. "

and "You will not use these forums to violate any laws nor to discuss illegal activities."

As for drifting the Sprinter, the first problem I see are your gears. You instead of simply overloading the car with HP and stretching out the gears, drop some HP and tighten the gears up. Your chances of keeping control will be a bit better.

Also, take a read of NK4E's signature above.

I don't use trueno's very often... so i wouldn't know their optimal hp :-/ and besides, the trueno is probably the only stock car i haven't drifted

Who needs a 300-380hp Trueno? The stock 123hp is fine, and the 200hp on the S.S. version is more than adequite.
not everyone likes drifting stock like you Don.

but its fun and challenging. :D

edit-- i guess i speak for both of us on that?

Now that's good advice.

set the gears back to default. Put sims or at least normals on the car and learn some techniques. After you try to do it on sims for a bit, come back and ask.

go to pergatory's site. he has a setting. it think its www.pergatory.net

ohhhhhhhhhhh.

y0 dawg itzz G01n DOWN y0!!!

...lol.

ill post my setting tomorrow so you can test them out

sims, fully customizable suspension and 2 way lsd
spring rate both 8.4
ride height both 92
shock bound/rebound 7
camber 3.7, 2
toe 1, 0
stabilizers 5
front down force .24
rear downforce 31
tcs 0
asm 0

can a few other people try these settings out. it still feels a little uncontrolable, maybe somebody can help me with that

no that setting is alrite, you just need to set stabilizers down slightly, and the toe-in to 0 ;)

i've always found the SS trueno really easy to get sideways... almost TOO easy... i use it at aroudn 250 hp.. it's very squirrly if it wants to be... not the kinda car u keep the pedal on the floor all the way through a turn...

I agree with the consensus i think u're problem is the Gear ratios... why even make them that long? are u even hitting speed limiter? because the Trueno has a small pwer band u need narrow gears inorder to keep those revs high...and the backend loose
