I still think inertia drifting and feint drifting are two different things. For me the term inertia drifting doesn't come from Initial D but from the Gran Turismo 1 or 2 manual. Someone read it if you have it and you have time, that could clear some things up.

Why does every topic have to wind up in people saying "I love Initial D, Takumi is my biatch!" and someone else saying "Initial D sucks, creative license isn't allowed in mangas about doing skids in old Toyotas!"

i have the gt2 manual lieing around somewhere.
hell google it if it comes down to it, and find the best meaning for it.

I have it and I have read it, I thought someone else should read it too and tell me if I'm wrong. To me inertia drifting is the same as speed drifting (My own term as there doesn't seem to be an official one, driving too fast for the tyres to grip)

- EDIT - OK, I just checked Wikipedia and it says inertia drifting is the same as feint drifting. But it didn't name that technique used by me (speed drifting)

Ohhhhh snap. I personally like to call it the Kansei Dori but we all know how us Professional Drifters don't refer to Initial D... :nervous:

YOU are so lame.....
Refer to initial d just don't overkill it like you do....
NO ONE HERE IS A PRO...GT4 is just damn fun
as for the technical terms....does it really matter?...You either drift or you don't....

Thats his gimmick sir. He has to get in something about Initial D in every thread he takes part in, even if it has no purpose in that thread :P

Yep, that's about it right there. Those of us that have skills don't go around saying, "I have mad skills!" We all need to get better and can get better.

But let's cut out the name calling zalright?

Swift, I think you, Tankspanker, Droptop_Chick, and a few others have managed to do every drift-related trick with a car...there isn't much more that can be done.

To look at Initial D for a second. Takumi thought exactly the same thing. Then he got owned on Akina's downhill by Bunta. So we ALL have more to learn and other skills to sharpen.

There is always more to be done....If you think a limit has been reached...there is always something else to work on....never be satisfied....unless you want to be average. Once you start bragging about skill there is always someone out there that can take you down a peg or two....I think the majority of us understand this and always strive to get better...

drive with a cup of water....rotate that water with weight shift....drift like takumi...to be pwned by bunta.

...I like to drift with a cup of water on the table I use to hold my wheel.
lol its impossible for me cause the force feedback is way too strong so my table is shaking and moving like crazy...i get the feeling its gonna callapse :indiff:

nk4e: LOL :D :D

My chair's so uncomfortable drifting becomes a pain in the rear, literally.

Another thing that's beginning to bug me is the lack of really driftable tracks. After Autumn Ring, Costa Di Amalfi, Trial Mountain, Grand Valley Speedway\East, El Capitan, Tsukuba Circuit, Midfield Raceway, and Special Stage Route 5, it really bites. The other tracks either have turns too sharp to really drift or are ridiculously long(nurburgring, sarthe). Trial Mountain over and over again is beginning to feel like work. :indiff:

There's always Deep Forest, Apricot Hill and Laguna Seca Raceway for starters. :)
