I decided, after being pushed off clean passes and other ridiculous moments that ended poorly for me, to try and purposefully spin the Dodge Ram in one of the latest seasonal races......for a good 10 seconds I was pushing square on the right rear at 90+ mph while this thing stayed on course like a 12 ton train on tracks. A mere tap by the AI would have sent me spinning were the tables reversed. The slightest contact yields a trip in circles or a push to the grass and a multitude of other tragedies on the human player while playing chase the rabbit.

So instead of adding the latest iteration of the GT-R or Miata, why not work on a better gaming experience? Better AI opponents, qualifying for seasonal races instead of 12th on the grid? Surely the possibility exists to improve game play?

seriously losing the desire to play this game because I'm just ending up irritated at the weak points that really kill the experience......but I know this will fall on deaf ear but these are things that kill the possibility I bother with GT6. Spending $3-400 on peripherals to play for just under 6 months bites.

I agree with the crash thing, happens to me a lot. If I go straight into another cars side, I'll be the one losing all control.

On a more positive note, you should check out the AI on Forza... It makes GT's AI look like Stig replicas :D

For what it's worth, you can spin the idiot AIs, but it depends a lot on what they're driving. Some cars and probably the trucks you almost need grass or curbs or the crest of a hill to help you.

HAHA!! You shouldn't need the grass to help you even the playing field with AI!!! I've been playing almost 6 months and I'm losing interest. Partly because I'm not getting any better and it seems the poor habits I've developed won't allow for much better results....that I admit. Some say 6 months out of a game is great....but not one where you can potentially spend upwards of $500-1k and more to get the best experience.

The last month of seasonals has really made PD's flaws glaring in terms of how much fun you can have within the game at a given level. It'd be nice iif I could hone my skills racing in a field of cars, but I learn absolutely zero trying to cut through 11 cars to win a seasonal event because racing people is so entirely different than what the AI offers here. In essence you are really using a superior car in what's designed to just give you enough time to finish 1st should you not make any mistakes.....and that's with the right field! I was spun by an AI car in the 80's Japanese car seasonal and when I caught back up the grouping of cars was exactly the same as it was when I got spun by the car that was the middle car of a group of 3.....and that car actually spun with me!

Sure, I sound like sour grapes because I'm not improving at the rate that got me this far....I get thinking like that if reading this stuff. But the games deficiencies are such that when you reach this level you can't help but start to lose interest......not everyone can master it to the level of others. So the game should be able to maintain interest of any racer given their level of skill, this game cannot achieve that should you not master it.

I have zero problems pit maneuvering the AI, works pretty much every time. My biggest problem is when the AI brake checks you on straights or on the exit of a turn, that's as measurably stupid as it is annoying.

Also, in the Suzuka pick truck up seasonal, I successfully rammed the leading Tacoma into the tires after the last chicane, wedging them quite nicely between the two layers. However, the AI spent the remaining 3 laps recreating the scene from the first Austin Powers movie where he's stuck in the hall way, to the point that the AI was glitching through the tires. A simple 3 point turn would have sufficed, or they could have very easily continued around the tires instead of heading backwards to try and take the chicane properly.

Nice video. Worth a laugh today.

Nice video, my Bob's seem to do the same thing when they spin at monaco...which is often.
