Hey everybody, my name is Omar and I have been a racing fanatic since I was a kid. I have been following gtplanet.com since GT2 I believe. The soon release of GT5 is getting me pumped.
I have been in love w/ the Gran Turismo series since the night my college friends and I rented GT from blockbuster. Looking for a racing game we could play head to head, GT1 had the most cars according to the box-art. But we were drunk and got frustrated w/ the silly arcade mode and limited number of cars. Then after everybody passed out one guy started the career mode and the next day we were all hooked.
I drive w/ a driving force pro still, might step up to a G27. But I have put some miles on the wheel playing PC sims like GTR2 and GTR Evolution. I do league racing there because of the network capable and the precision needed to avoid damage. Which makes me so glad to see GT5 add all of these key features.
So I am looking forward to jumping into the forums, getting to know everybody and ready to race some of you.
