As a "Mature" (in age if nothing else) Gamer I remember the first time I saw/played Pong, Space Invaders, etc. 
My powerful 48k Spectrum eventually gave way to an Atari 520ST, then a PC, then various Games Consoles....
Made the mistake of buying my brother-in-law a game called "Gran Turismo" for Christmas. I saw the TV ad & was hooked. Had to buy myself a Playstation & the game and have never looked back.
Really love Driving / Racing games, prefer the simulation type GT, Grid, Race Driver etc to the more Arcade style of Ridge Racer, Wipeout, Blur.
Several years later I've enjoyed playing each incarnation of the Gran Turismo saga & am slowly working my way thru GT5.
Glad to find a website like GT Planet and the fantastic resource of ideas etc in this Forum.
