Just wanted to say hi. and thanks for this great board.
Im not new to drifting.
Ive been doing it for about 7 months now and i guess im decent.
btw. my car of choice is the 240sx Fastback
also my favorite style of drifting is power over:cheers: :cheers:
 
im not sure how to post a video. How do I?/
yeah my drifting skill are alright but its not like ive practiced every day for 7 months. HS is hard work. also i use the regular controlar.
lol everytime i look at one of you alls vids i get dumbfound at how good you guys are!!

idk i think all u need to know that u have to have is a video reaady and ftp site to upload it to

You need a TV tuner/capture card with composite audio and video-in (a decent one will run you about $60-$100 depending on the bundled software). Then you will be able to play gt3 on your monitor and use your computer desk as a clamping steering wheel base.

It's something I'm getting into now.
Just ordered my ASUS TV FM card tonight :D

Either that or you could spend a grand on a digital video camera and record whats going on on your television lol.

If you did that you could even throw some hard ass tires and a hi-torque motor on your Losi and drift it around a parking lot :lol:

Yould simply taking a camcorder and pointing it at my tv screen and then sending it over to my computer work?
moneys a bit short for me

Welcome to GTP......
It could work, but make sure we could SEE the car and the drifts. Some vids using a camera are done so bad that no one can tell what the F is going on.

Just point the camera dead-straight at the TV in low to no light, and do your best. I'm sure you will.

Welcome, more less... I am sure you are better then me, but yes you can just point the (digital) camera at your TV as you watch your replays... or live drifts. Then edit it on the comp. (IMO, cause no one really likes watching a full replay) Add some music and you are good to go...

P.S. get the vid's up soon... I wanna see what you can do.
 
yeah this weekend ive got a 3 day weekend illl try to get something posted
im a bit nervious... everyone on this site is so good at drifting... my drifts will proabbly look like crap compared to you alls

Hey, no pressure man... I have used this wheel for a full month... every second I can play GT3, I drift... and I still suck. I am sure you are alot better then me, and you use the controller. Oh, and people here aren't mean about it... they will give you some pointers.

i imight be able to use our big screen TV and then hook up the, camcorder to the tv through an out put slot, then put the ps2 on the input.
also how can you tell how good you are? do you spin out of simply dont get a steep enough angle? im interested in learning.

you dont spin out. i rarely spin out. spinning out is when you are going to fast. or you are counter-steering too much. or your car is too heavy. if "YOU" are lookin to judge poeple if they are good. watch their videos. look at their technique. is it fast? is it smooth? do the drift they whole turn and not just a little part of it? what tires do they use?

let me welcome u to the board also and i think i have heard of u before ( i think not sure tho). was it on a site called radiocontrolzone.come perhaps? just curious lol also welcome n if my pap lets me have his digi cam ill edit a video if i can. see yas

I rarely spin out anymore... its my angles that I don't like to much, I did use the stock 1800cc S13 but I moved up to a stock 2000cc S13... so now I get better angles and fully do some of the big turns... my entrances are good and my exits are good if the drift is good... but I usually mess up trying to get a bigger angle.
 
ahh im so angry, Igot the vide3os on my camcoreder now but i can fid the link cord to the computer.
any ways i found a way to get it on my camcorder. i simply pluged my Ps2 into my camcorder. Viola! no glare from the tv no nothing just perfect color video!
oh yeah btw the vids are:
My 240sx drifting aroundGrand valley (this video is a bit old so its not my best drifting)
and my Fairlady Z drifting around Super speedway (i drifted around the entire corner)
