Ok what goin on it is just a back screen and the disk is clean and the whole thing is cleaned and everything is hooked up. whats goin on!!

make sure that the AV cable is secure in your playstation and make sure its in the port thing thats int the back of your playstation called AV multi out and then put the other end(the side with the red, white, and yellow ends) into the tv.

Welecome to GTP :)

Ok all the a/v jacks are connected. everything is hooked up. It just shows a black screen. And everything is cleaned.

Is the PS2 actually running, when you switch the power on at the back, does the red light come on at the reset button? If not you have either a proble with power getting into your PS2, or theres a problem inside the PS2 maybe a bad connection. If the light does come on, when you press the reset button, does the light go green and do you hear the PS2 start up?

Other things to check, are you selecting the correct AV channel on your TV, if yor TV has more than one scart socket then your PS2 may not be on AV1, try the others. Are you actualyl selecting the AV channel? If your hearing the PS2 start up, check it on a different TV, try using a different scart lead from the PS2 to the TV as well, use a friends. If none of that works then the problem is in the PS2 and you need to get it looked at.

Oh, does the PS start up, or does nothing happen when you switch it on?

If it happens on every game, it may be a memory problem, that happened to my PS a long time ago, it was fixable but you might as well buy another PS now.

ok I bought a universal cable for it and work a bit. but some how its not working. so i check the playstation and the thing that presses the thing to make it run its not touching.so I made a gasket to fix it and still won 't run. whats going on?

Just trash it and buy a new one. Yes, it is the easy option but it is an 'old' console. Age takes its toll, and as you seem to be trying hard to fix it I'm guessing you play it alot aswell. Either buy a PSone(I think you still can in some places) or get a PS2, the Graphics are much better :D
