A capture card is indeed what you will need to get video on your computer... Do a google search for "capture card", "tuner card", or "tv card"... You should find what you need...

Welcome to GTP and if you need settings fill free to look at the Depot in the sig

Hey im also new to the forums, just found the site today. just got a ps2 last week w/ san andreas, and have a copy of GT3 on the way from ebay for $8. didnt see the use of making a new post when i could bump this one.

im at work right now so i cant download the videos but it seems like there is a s**tload of information on GT3 drifting here. i look forward to seeing the vids and the competitions and checking out all the useful info. ive seen some drifting dvds and quite honestly they fascinate me with their car control skills. maybe someday i can do the same in GT... 👍

ok just downloaded 1 video cause i had to see. amazing. not suprising that you can do it in GT3 but amazing.

how many of you GT drifters us the standard ps2 controller to drift? i dont really plan on getting a wheel any time soon but i was just wondering if its that much harder w/ a controller?

Thanks for using your head and jumping in the same thread.

You can drift with a wheel or controller. If you have a choice, go with the wheel. But if a DS2 is what you have, then don't feel that you're at a disadvantage. There are many excellent drifters that use the DS2.

Welcome and good luck. Most questions you have will probably be answered in the stickies or other threads. But if you can't find what you're looking for. Feel free post. :)

If you need any help with Drifting in GT3 (or real life), stop by and visit us at IDM:

Official IDM Forums (International Drift Mayhem)

We are a group of dedicated GT3 drifters primarily focussed on learning/refining/teaching others the techniques and tuning necessary for a controlled drift (in a variety of situations, with a variety of different vehicles and drivetrains)... We have drift excersizes running all the time, so feel free to drop in and have a look around... I'm sure you'll find some usefull information...

thanks for the link i will definately check it out after i download a few more videos here.

thanks for the links, in the drifting video thread the link to countersteer zero didnt work i read that its a good one. im still waiting for my copy of GT3 to arrive so ive been having to play NFSU2 in the meantime, tuning the cars for the downhill drift tracks. a completely different game than the GT series but fun none the less.

That link I gave you for "Countersteer Zero" shoud work. It's hosted by Jordan (Owner/Operator of GTP) so there shouldn't be any problems...

I've been quite hooked on NFSU:2... I just finished playing, in fact... The game still forces you to rice the car (to varying degrees) just as NFSU did... However, if you have a good eye, you can create some pretty hot lookin' vehicles, except for the neon, hydraulics, and the stupid rims I'm forced to keep on my 240SX (special rims) because all the other rims will bring my reputation points down...

Anyway, I'm rambling...

Goodnight GTP...

i had my AE86 pretty riced up but ive hit the 10 star mark so im starting to tone it back down. my evo i just made look good, but fully tuned it pushes pretty hard into most turns, even after trying to tune it many times. probably time to go back to a RWD car. Any reccomendations? the AE86's accelleration kinda sucks but it can tear the sh** out of the street x races.

btw Delphic, that IDM VM video was amazing. are there any newer ones?
