Hide country of residence?

I feel zero pride for my nationality and I have no interest on it being displayed below my username, but this site forces me to choose a flag. Is there a way to hide it without having to choose another flag? I saw some members don't have a country flag displayed and I would like that option if possible. Thanks.

In your account details, select the blank country field at the top of the Country field list.

Initially starting without a flag but it can't be reversed to none after choosing one. Switching is only possible to another flag.

Would be a nice addition to just have a world flag. Very common in other forums with this flag function.

I can confirm that the problem still persists even to this day. As you can see in the screenshot down below.

I have added a [None] option to the bottom of the country selection list.
