High resolution photos!

I remember a long time ago, there were some pictures shown on GTPlanet taken with a very high resolution... Something like 15 Megapixels or whatever!
Can I take these high resolution pictures in the photo mode?? If yes, how can I? I haven´t found any option about it!

Its the magnification setting you use in the options during photomode. Im pretty sure you can only use 2x mag which will give you 18Mp (5760x3240 res) in location photomode. During race replays only 1x (1920x1080 res)..
