I recently got a new girlfriend. Turns out, she wanted to got to the "Homecoming" dance. So we went. Although I was pretending to have a good time, i wasn't, it was boreing. Dances are stupid. Stupid music, stupid people, cost lots of money. The only good part is that I got some afterwards.

So what do you say? Are they dumb or fun?

Dumb. Prom was fun though. I got to go to two. Lots of money, but lots of sex, and lots of stupid things happening that were lots of fun.

Prom was my single worst memory of high school.

Dances suck and I hate them.

Probably because dancing people annoy me. When they do the "Epilectic Seizure" dance they usually make jack-ass's of themselves. Thats where they think they are cool and flail their arms around and bounce like they are having a stroke totally un-aware that while they are dancing everyone around them stops dancing just so they can turn around and watch and make fun of you while you make a complete jackass of myself.. err... themselves.

BTW, I stopped dancing after one really unfortunate occasion.

Exactly!

Why can't you see this Mopar? Just like what Concept said it is, "what goes on after the dances," is what makes going to dances great! And you even said you got some action. You should be loving dances.
All men have to put up with some sort of torture in order to get a piece, so get used to it and quit ya *****in. Ya got a long road ahead of you. :D 👍

{EDIT:} Looks like someone doesn't know how to dance.

Random tip from Concept :

Avoid getting into fights with your significant other. It always ends up with you not getting any. In situations where you know a fight will occur, become passive, agree with everything she says, whether you like it or not. In turn, you still get what you want, and she's happy as can be, and so are you.

True, but what about the make-up? Takes longer to get some but I think you savor it much more.

I like school dances because i loves to dance.. but not all school dances are great though.. it depends on who arange them.. and what music they play..

and sleek stratos, hello fellow norwegian person!

I've gone to a few High School dances. They all pretty much suck, the Dj's and music was pretty cool, but everything else 👎.

Actually the flag is in honor of Petter Solberg, best norwegian rally driver. The best rally driver actually. :D
To stay on the topic, I mostly don't like dances since I seem to lack the gene that allows a person to move in accord to a rythym.

The last time I was at any type of "dance" was a few years ago at a "club" they have for people who are too young to drink.

That's the night I lost my icepick. I really liked that icepick. Damnit, makes me sad to think about it.

i've got lead feet...i couldn't dance if i wanted to :p. my feet just will not move no matter what i try to do. besides, most of the girls in my school had no personality so in the long run, it would've been more or less pointless for me to ask any of them out.

oh, and did i mention that ppl in my school have THE WORST taste in music? i mean jeeeze man, i wanted to shoot nelly after the FIRST time i heard his "music"...forget every 5 minutes. so many pakistani/indian kids in my school tried sooo hard to act black. if they didn't try to act black, they tried to be white...either way, it's a scary sight when almost everyone (including urself) came from that region. they just don't seem to get that they should jus be themselves. ah well, high school is over, i try to keep in touch with my closest friends, and sometimes the others too.

How do you try to act a color? What, did they go to the store and buy some spray paint, and then color themselves?

Or do you mean the stereotypical roles that different races are meant to be. I hate to break it to you, being in a gang or being a criminal is equal opportunity. Same thing with liking different types of music and different activities.

I listen to rap music, does that mean I'm trying to be black? I've watched anime before, does that mean I'm trying to be Japanese? I fail to see your logic (I doubt it exists) or reasoning (See previous) for the above quoted text.

He never mentioned any of the things you are trying to nail him with, and yet, I knew exactly what he was talking about. I don't know or care why you're so hypoersensitive, but it's annoying.

I always found them to be meat markets where all the athletes got all the girls, and anyone with any brains got ridiculed for being unable to pull/dance/drink/whatever.

Therefore, for me, they sucked. Glad to be out of it.

I didn't try to nail him with anything. Stereotypes are annoying, I get tired of them. Simple as that.

I thought I was on your ignore list, anyway?

ya...stereotypes ARE annoying...so why the hell do people TRY to fit them? why can't they learn to be themselves? they say they're trying to express themselves in a unique way, but that makes no sense when you look, talk, and act like the 500 people around you.
