Since it seems everyone else is doing it, I'll join in on the fun with a thread to document happenings with my car.

On Saturday, October 10, I sold my Mercedes-Benz to a friend of mine and was then driven by another friend to a local Subaru dealership.

I left the dealership with a significant amount of debt to my name and the keys to a 2007 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Limited.

It had 25,690 miles on it when I bought it and I got a four year warranty that covers the entire car. :)

Just in case I get called on making a ludicrous claim. ;)

Today was the first time in the past week that the sun has been visible, so I washed the car and waxed it.

I actually enjoy driving again. I haven't been this happy about driving since I was sixteen.

It has seat heaters, a functional reverse gear, a glovebox, a CD changer that does not eat my CDs, working turn signals, and fully functional instrumentation. Score.

I should be helping a friend of mine (the guy who bought my old car) with his '73 Super Beetle next week, so I'll post pictures of that in here as well. :)

Fail on the Ludicrous Claim proof. It clearly says the car belongs to "- est"... whoever that is...

Nice choice. Hate the automatic gearboxes on those things, but it's not such a big deal with the 2.5 as it is with the puny 2.0 we got here... that car has such a lovely feel to the inside of it... great ride... lovely handling balance...

Two thumbs up! 👍 👍

Thank you all for the positive comments. It handles better than anything else I can recall driving, and the ride quality is pretty close to my old Mercedes.

It would appear that October is my "new wheels month", as I've just scored a 21 speed mountain bike with a front disc brake for 40 dollars. I'm in the process of painting the kell hounds logo from Battletech onto the frame. :dopey: I just had to go and buy a bicycle AFTER I sell a car with 78 cubic feet of cargo space..

The gearbox is at times a little indecisive when fully automatic. I can live with it though.

I. Love. This. Car.

When - est finds me, he'll be pissed that I put up pictures of his car and claimed it as my own. ;)
