highest fuel consumption?

Am just running the indy 500 on a-spec with the x1, and noticed that each 25 laps the tank is completely empty! A full gas tank in the pits is 100 litres. This means a fuel consumption of 4 litres each lap! Any other high, or extremely low fuel consumers?
 
Has any tried an endurance race in one of the electric cars? Does it just run out of power after a while and can you re-charge it in the pits? :odd:
 
Yes, the cars, like Tesla Roadster, actually run out of power. Haven't tried to re-charge them in the pits, but I don't think its possible!
 
At work at the moment but might give it a go when I get home in the morning would be interesting to see what happens :-

Magically tops up charge?
Doesnt do anything and car just sits there?
Replaces the batteries? (Couple of AA's perhaps)
Lets the car sit there on charge for 12 hours?

The mind boggles :odd:
 
I'm pretty sure the car just sits there and you can't complete the race.
