Good evening,

The topic's title is pretty self-explanatory: I have a special interest in very high revving cars, both natively (out of the box) and especially after having been tuned to the max. Since I only have GT6 for PS3 at the moment (the older GT5 is also on the way, but did not arrive at me yet - and for playing GT4 again, I still have to yet find my PS2:grumpy:), I'm particularly focused on GT6 cars and, to a lesser extent, on GT5 cars (like said, the game is still on the way...) but you can also mention the highest revving GT4 cars for future reference;) (once I've finally found my beloved PS2:banghead:)

I already have cumulated a fair "collection" of very high-revving cars on my GT6 installation over the years:

[sort by RPM in descending order]

  • Honda S2000 LM Race Car (max HP @ 11800 RPM)
  • Light Car Company Rocket '07 (max HP @ 11500 RPM)
  • Ferrari 458 Italia '09 (max HP @ 10000 RPM)
  • BMW M3 Coupe Chrome Line (max HP @ 9900 RPM)
  • BMW M3 Coupe '07 (max HP @ 9500 RPM)
  • Lexus LFA '10 (max HP @ 9500 RPM)
  • Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 '11 (max HP @ 9500 RPM)
  • Honda S2000 '99 (max HP @ 9300 RPM)
  • Honda S2000 '03 (max HP @ 9300 RPM)
  • Honda S2000 '06 (max HP @ 9000 RPM)
  • Honda Integra Type R (DC5) '04 (max HP @ 9000 RPM)
  • BMW M3 CSL '03 (max HP @ 9000 RPM)
  • Audi R8 4.2 FSI R tronic '07 (max HP @ 9000 RPM)
  • Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro '09 (max HP @ 9000 RPM)
  • Enzo Ferrari '02 (max HP @ 9000 RPM)
  • Lotus Elise 111R '04 (max HP @ 9000 RPM)
  • Lotus Elise 111R Race Car '04 (max HP @ 9000 RPM)

Below 9000 RPM, but still pretty high revving: (8500 RPM or higher)

  • Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro Chrome Line (max HP @ 8900 RPM)
  • Amuse S2000 Street Version '04 (max HP @ 8900 RPM)
  • Amuse S2000 R1 '04 (max HP @ 8600 RPM)
  • BMW Z4 M Coupe '08 (max HP @ 8600 RPM)
  • BMW M4 Coupe (max HP @ 8500 RPM)

However, maybe I did miss out several cars? Can you fill me in?

Thanks,

Erm..... not a single reply since almost a week starting this topic? :indiff:

Well, you started a topic about a game launched 9 years before, on a platform two generations surpassed, on a game which the servers were shutdown about 5 years ago.

So, don't hold a candle expecting people will plug in there PS3 and launch the game just to satisfy your curiosity.

Here, out of the blue, the Red Bull X1 should be on the 15 000 rpm range, the Formula Gran Turismo about 18 000 rpm.

On road cars, not on the list, the Caterham as a Honda Fireblade engine, over 10 000 rpm stock, can be pushed even further, and the Suzuki GSX-R4, also with a motorcycle sourced engine, about 10 000 rpm stock, should be safe bets.
