I read quite a while ago that the LP400 is a good car to use to win this championship- fully supped up, of course. Plus, there's very little choice since the Toyota & Chapparals are about as common in the UCD as an eclipse (no pun intended). Now, while it's relatively competitive (I haven't been able to keep 1st place so far), it slides like bambi on ice, even with racing softs. Is there anywhere I can change the settings of the car to improve handling or being a Lambo, it's **** and full stop?
 
Make sure you have (max) downforce on the car, also gear the car in such a way that 1st goes to atleast 40mph to avoid the driver constantly up/downshifting in Cote de Azur (I'm assuming that's the track you're having trouble winning with?).

I usually tune by increasing Max Speed in Transmission to max, then lengthening 1st gear as far as it will go (>Max Speed = >max length of gears), shortening last gear to min., then using Final to set desired top speed. With my method you may find you can't drop Final enough for short enough gears, in that case reset to default, lengthen final by about 0.500, then when you increase Max Speed (you should see the gears jump on screen to readjust to new parameters) you will be able to shorten Final more. Then balance the other gears relative to 1st and last.

Also, A-Spec or B-Spec?

A-Spec, I don't bother with B-Spec. Too frustrating.

But unfortunately I got rid of the Lambo since once you add all the weight reductions, rigidity etc they can't be undone and I don't like to tune my cars. I'll wait for a 2J or 7 to come along in the UCD (unless I win a GT40 via a gift ticket lol)

B-Spec Endurance
Indy 500 - GT40 '69

And I still don't have the Chapparal. So guess what I had to do first in order to win the History Cup :D

Sorry but I've tried- Can't even come close to winning the Pick-up Truck Challenge on Level 10 (Daytona), never mind anything else. I'm the kind of person who likes to be in on the action and have complete control, not watching some stupid AI driver slow down when you tell him to speed up or constantly bumping into opponents when he has about 50 feet to pass them either side lol.
They should have added more A-Spec events and left out B-Spec imo.

Luckily, the Seasonal Events help a lot in terms of cash sums when you win. Just found out that 20 million is the limit anyway so I'll have to buy a few cars......Actually, a Chapparal 2D was in the UCD yesterday but that's the one with less hp although if I'd have known then that 20 million was the max, I probably would have bought it, anyway 👍

The Truck challenge is notoriously difficult mate, that is the 2nd most asked about B-Spec race after Historic Cup! Indy 500 is easy, Liek The Wind more difficult. Both are significantly easier than the 2 races aforementioned. And yea I knowww! I was a couple grand away from 20 mil then I finish a million cr race and I SOAKED all of it, you best believe I was steaming bro :D Luckily they have been generous with Seasonals, there are so many. And yea, too much B-Spec!
