Welcome all to the launch of the Historic FIA GT '98 series here on the GTX Forum as well as GTPlanet.
This will be a very difficult, high power, high speed series with some of the greatest GT cars ever built. Expect a lot of skill necessary to handle these machines.

Note: At each round a 'Soft Compound' and 'Hard Compound' will be announced. Therefore the specific tire that each car will use will vary from round to round. You will likely need to have a set of each type of Race tire compound available to you.

* Autumn Ring Reverse
Race 2: May 22 - June 4
* Suzuka Circuit
Mid-Season Break: June 5 - June 18
* Break to allow GT1 drivers to participate in 24 Hours of LeMans Enduro
Race 3: June 19 - July 2
* Fucji Speedway 90s
Race 4: July 3 - July 16
* Grand Valley Reverse
Race 5: July 17 - July 30
* Infineon Raceway
Race 6: July 21 - August 13
* Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
Note: The races will vary in difficult, between being a very hard fought GT1 battle to an easy GT1 race with a hard GT2 battle.
RULES
Drivers and Teams
* Drivers may run both GT1 and GT2 classes if they wish.
* A driver must run the same car all season.
* There is no limit on how many times a car can be selected.
* Two-car teams are allowable, but they must drive the same car.
* One-car teams are considered privateers, yet must still use a team name.
Cars
* No parts may be added other then those specified
* ASM and TCS must be set to 0
* All other car settings are open to change
* Oil Changes and Chassis Refresh are available at any time
* Buying/Winning a second chassis mid-season is available at any time
Racing
* All races must be started from 6th on the starting grid.
* All drivers will be required to make a mandatory pit stop during the race at any time other then the end of the first lap or end of the last lap. Tire selection for each round will likely force a pit stop anyway.
* Due to the length of these races, having all four tires in the grass is allowable once. Anything more then that nullifies that race time.
* Any wall contact automatically nullifies that race time.
* Contact with other cars that is your fault nullifies that race time. Contact caused by the AI is excused.
Time Submission
* Times should be PMed to me and include:
- Car
- Team Name
- Total Time
- Each Individual Lap Time
- Any incidents worth mentioning
* Times will be due by 11:59pm on the final date listed on the schedule.
* No late submissions will be allowed.
* Discussion of individual lap times only is allowed in the race thread.
Championship
* The current FIA points system will be in use for driver's and team's championships:
- 1 : 10pts
- 2 : 8pts
- 3 : 6pts
- 4 : 5pts
- 5 : 4pts
- 6 : 3pts
- 7 : 2pts
- 8 : 1pt
* The fastest lap out of the event will earn 1pt.
* The team's championship will include all points gained by each driver.
* The team's championship will not include privateer teams. The privateer champion will merely be deduced from the driver's championship standings.

. Anyways... I may also have to miss the first two rounds; school is getting busier not to mention racing, baseball, school football tryouts for '06-'07, golf and tennis. So my schedule just gets stuffed and still I want to participate in three series here at GTP

) and possibly the Jagaur but I am not sure. Looks like this could be alot of fun and I'm looking forward to it.
