In 1908, Henry Ford utilised the Assembly line to manufacture a product so cheap that his employees could afford. The Model T ran from 1908-1927 and there were over 15 million produced (the record stood until the 15 millionth VW beetle rolled of the lines decades later). With a 4 cylinder L head design, (valvetrain cast in the block) Ford could produce a cheap and reliable source of power. Nicknamed "Tin Lizzy" for the way the metal looked to a horse drawn public, the Model T could actually handle terrain that many modern SUV owners wouldn't dare attempt traversing. Over the years, ford added several body styles to the 4 seat open tourer, (4 door sedan, coupe, etc.) but the most popular color was black. In fact, for a long time, the only color was black. Henry Ford was Quoted as saying "you can have any color you want, as long as it's black." The Model T's basic four cylinder design was carried on and improved upon in the Model A of 1928-31, and was doubled to a V8 in 1932 with the advent of the "flathead". The Model T ushered in a new age in America, possibly being the single most important invention of the 20th century, as American culture changed dramatically. Gone were the the horse mounts, in came parking spots. Oats weren't needed as much as gasoline, and America grew closer as a result of people being able to commute and travel long distances much faster than they could on horse. While it is generally useless in GT4 from a competition standpoint, it is probably one of the two most historically important vehicles in the game.
