Planned in secret, this Holden Adventra was built for the late Peter Brock to run in the Dakar Rally. A event that he dreamed of running in, Brock was reached out by engineer Robert D'Ercole on tackling the Dakar. D'Ercole had designed a all-wheel drive vehicle powered by 5.5 liter LS V8 in midships and a body based on the Holden Adventra.
The team's plan of entering the 2006 running of the Dakar was put on hold in late 2004 due to personal problems Brock had during the time. New plans on entering the 2008 Dakar was underway until September of 2006 when Peter Brock passed away during a targa event near Perth.
The Dakar Holden sat unfinished in a workshop until 2011 when the Adventra was completed for the 5 year anniversary of Brock's passing.
