You may remember from my Gran Turismo 4 threads that I had a topic called "Australian Cars," in which many of us thought that the Tickford in GT3 could spark something big. To me, I would like to have raced other Australian cars. Australian cars are a nice diversion from the American straight-liners. And in so, I wanted to allow people to talk about Australian cars from the two top makers in the country/continent/island, Holden and Ford Australia.
If you ask me, I wanted Holden to be in GT3 A-Spec (who calls GT3 "GT3 A-Spec" anymore?). I think that if you have Tickford represented, you'll need to have to include Holden to bring the rivalry digital. I'm telling you. I could pretend to be Mark Skaife of HRT (Holden Racing Team) and take the fight to Ford Australia. But this is not a GT topic. Instead, I want to focus on Holden and Ford Australia. I'll tell you what. The Holden Commodore and Ford Falcon are perchance the premier Australian cars (unless you account the Holden Monaro). When I seen my first V8 Supercar race on then Speedvision show "Motorsport Mundial," I thought the Holdens looked like Pontiacs at the front. The Commodores did look like Pontiacs, only difference is that the Holdens are mostly rear-wheel drive. And Australian cars are aerodynamic and aggressive-looking. They may not fancy flamboyant body kits or "show, no go" goodies (not saying they have to), but they are sweet. I don't know too much on the Ford Falcon except it is as mean and aggressive as its GM Australia counterpart. In the future, I'll look up more info on the Austalian Falcon.
Holden and Ford Australia on the menu. Let's do it, people! Reply away!
