Holee crap! Fast RM Golf

Today I performed my first race modification, on a VW Golf, tuned it to the max, but lowered horsepower to 250 hp... damn this little four banger is fast! I lapped Nurburgring faster than in my 600-some hp Ferrari F40! Of course I was wrangling the Ferrari, trying to keep it away from the grass, while the VW handles like it's on rails...

My lap in the ring with a 250 hp VW was 7:53.584, near flawless run, but I can definitely improve on it...
 
Yeah that was my "FIRST CAR", I used it in every event it qualified in up to Schwartz league B and the Euro Championship. It actually gets up to 315 hp if you do all the upgrades.
 
My 295 bhp NSX RM made a 7:14 in wet condition, and I cannot improve it any further. Painted it with Matte Dark Red, looking graceful in the garage.
Just wondering how much downforce is there in the Golf RM?
 
Awesome car... I just changed the turbo from a low rpm to a medium rpm range turbo and did a lap on the Ring at 7:43.755. My fastest lap on the Ring with any of my cars, even beat my lap with the SLS AMG, and that was a near flawless lap too, but six seconds slower.

The mid rpm turbo has higher torque at mid rpm and the max hp is sustained higher into the rpm range, which was great for the Ring's long straight. I reached 152 mph on the end of the straight before you have to slow down.

I know I can tune the VW to over 300 hp, but I am working on a race project right now, capped at 250 hp.

No ****, an Elise putting a Golf to shame? Say it ain't so. That's like saying Jessica Alba is hotter than your neighbor's grandma... :dunce:

Sexy on wheels love my RM Elise. I've tried most of them ( RM ) so far but this is by far the best one.

I find the evo IX better than the elise as I managed a 14 second faster time on the evo compared to the elise , but maybe if I hop on the elise I might get a faster time because now I have a lot more experience on the ring compared to when I did the lap with the elise ... But I find the elise way more fun ;)
 
I also love my golf rm, it looks epic in chrome with red wheels :D It's a propa grip monster lol.

I can't remember my 'ring lap time on the golf but I know iv done a very scuffy 6.46.xxx in the elise rm (ill get this into the 6.30s with a clean lap) and 6.40.xxx in the Evo 9 rm :)
