Holiday GT5 withdrawal thread

I'm sure I can't be the only one in the following situation:

I'm spending 2 weeks with family on the other side of the US. They do not have a PS3 so I'm going through some serious withdrawal here! :scared:

The fact that GT Academy has just started and I can't race till January 1 makes it even worse. AAARGH!!!

Anyone else in the same boat? How are you coping? :grumpy:
 
hahaha i'm going to NC (live in CA) for 5 days - and am already dreading not playing...
 
The worst is that my father in law was on the VERGE of getting a PS3 with GT5 but then backed out of it. RAAAAAGH!!!!!!!!
 
Just the opposite for me. I'm on vacation next week. A whole week of playing GT5 in my bathrobe.

I hope I remember to shower :)
 
Fortunately I will have a week off work beginning 25/12. And I just bought my fiance the new World of Warcraft expansion which is successfully keeping her away from the TV every night whilst she obsesses over her new Worgen character :)
 
I'm gonna be in Thailand for two weeks, I can safely say I won't be missing GT5 one bit.
 
My mother-in law, sister-in law and niece are over at my house. My PS3 is currently being utilized for Dora the Explorer and Veggie Tales. I haven't even downloaded the update yet. :(
 
I have a week of holidays and none of it at home with my PS3.
When I get back it's straight back to work.
I'm sure I'll cope. I will. Honest.
 
Well for every ying there is a yang.
I'll taking my daughter to her grand parents at the beach for 2weeks,my son has gone to Korean and my wife is heading up north.....hmmm i think i might just settle in for some serious GT time.
Ah life is good!
 
I'm stuck 3 weeks in CA from school in LA and couldn't pack my PS3 because of all the Christmas gifts I had to pack, I love giving, but I am missing GT5, and with this update aghghghgh. I want to race! (and back up my save file)
 
Besides work and spending x-mas at home with gf, I have no plans for the rest of year except get in as much GT5 time in as possible! :sly:

Ok that's definitely the worst suffering I've heard of so far. Ouch! :scared:
 
Yes sir I am in the same boat here.... Away for a week w/ the fam.
 
I would be antisocial and bring it with me. Ha!

On the other hand I could be social and challenge all my cousins. It's a good thing the relatives are all coming here this year.
 
Taking my PS3 and DFGT over to the in-laws house... They're all car nuts and I could see going in on a 24 hour race...
 
Same here, I won't be here for the gift cars on the 24th :(.
 
haha i'm going through some serious withdrawal as well! won't be able to play for another week..

wait so we have to log in on the 24th to get the cars? dammit i was hoping they'd just send them and you'd get them whenever you logged in after the 24th.

That has actually just brought a tear to my eye. I feel devastated for you even more so because pretty much the same thing is about to happen to me. There should be some sort of internet support community for this sort of suffering. :indiff:
