Been gone for over a month. Noticed? Yeah, right.

As some of you know, I have lymphedema. I then got a bad wound on my leg that wouldn't heal. It got real bad and I had to deal with it. Went into the hospital for a week, five more days than what I needed to be there for thanks to a doctor shutting down my kidneys and giving me pneumonia and almost killing me. Lawsuit pending; just need an attorney to see if I have a good case.

After I got out of the ICU, I went to a rehab facility. I had to learn how to walk all over again. No internet and no cable TV. It was torture. I'm still not walking that great, but then I never will. I've always used a wheelchair, walker, whatever...

Well, I'm back now, so what's been up? For all those who had birthdays while I was gone, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 👍

*raises his hand for the noticing your absence and the birthday deal*

Good to see you back, Solid. I hope you're feeling at least a bit better. :)

Thanks. The wound is healed, but skin is peeling around my feet, for some reason. It's causing me some pain, but it's a lot better than before.

*noticed you where gone*

I didn't know you where hurt, but I was asking myself: "Where's Solid Lifters?" I'm glad your doing better and welcome back.👍

Hey, I noticed too! Especially in the movies' section... so uhhh... welcome back.

Gah, I thought this thread was going to be about coming back from the Betty Ford clinic...

Oh well, it's good to have you back, but it sounds like it's been a tough time for you lately... you picked a good time to get home, though - plenty of goodies coming up for PS3 this month, and if you can survive racing the cretinous drivers that seem to be all over Prologue at the minute, then you'll be able to deal with just about anything! :trouble:

Welcome back!

SL, it's good to hear that you're among the living and feeling better. I hope you're well enough to celebrate freedom from rehab with a feast of gehkatballen. (sp?) :D Although maybe your family should be cooking for you this time around..

All the best,

-Chris

Yeah, I came home just in the nick of time, with GT5P to tempt me and MGS4 preorder.

Thanks for the welcome home! :)

Thanks, dude.

No, no cooking, yet. I'm on a strict diet of low calorie, low fat foods thanks to my weight and high blood pressure issue, but I've improved in the past month. Things were getting alarming.

I've lost a lot of weight in the past month thanks to the real-world horror of hospital food. If you never had it before, count your 'lucky stars.'

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones, although the only times I've really been in the hospital were for broken bones, nothing ever too serious. Regardless, it's good to see you back and in one piece.

Leg wound? ICU? A likely story. Well done getting clean of the drugs and alcohol though ;)

P.S. If you need any input about the lawsuit, then PM me. I may or may not be able to offer a professional, impartial opinion.

Welcome back, Solid Lifters! *noticed that you were gone too*

And, get well soon, in addition to luck on the lawsuit. Idiots like that... *fumes*

Welcome back, Solid. We won't serve Jell-O in the GTP staff cafeteria in your honor.

Actually, I had sugar free Jell-O only once, and sugar free Jell-O chocolate pudding only once.

Bring on the Jell-O! :D

I've always found hospital food rather tasty.

After you add heaps of salt and Tabasco, of course. Just not to the Jell-O.

I can provide a second-hand second-opinion as my wife is an ER nurse.

Thanks, dude.

I count my lucky stars... It's +/- one marshmallow of error, as I may have counted a doubloon..:dopey:

Tabasco makes everything better.

I thought things were awfully quiet around here. :D

Seriously, glad to have you back. GT5:P came out for PS3 and I saw a buddy playing MGS Online Beta last-night via the buddy list on the PS3 XMB.

Famine is an ER nurse?!? I never knew that.

Well at least that answers the whole hockey playing lesbian thing...

:p

Edit: Sureshot beat me. That'll teach me to start a post and then go talk to the boss. :grumpy:

Welcome back dude!

When they tried to make you go to rehab, did you say "No, no, no"?

Sorry.

Glad to hear you're on the mend. 👍

As for the lawsuit: was House your doctor?

Welcome back, Lifters! I'm sorry o hear about your rough patch, but glad to see you're back in action. Cheers to a continued recovery!

Well, I hope you feel as good as you can soon. But when I saw rehab, i automatically thought for drugs of some sort. I was relieved to see that you just almost died and now can barely walk for the rest of your life! Haha, really, get better soon.

Wow, I didn't notice this thread until after you IM'd me last night, Solid. Sorry to hear about your complications.

Hang in there, dude!
