So, this is a big ask, but if and when I get a wheel, my wife is concerned about it being in her living room and has even threatened to make me play upstairs or in the basement on an old standard definition tv if I get a wheel. So, I'm looking for something I could make on my own on the cheap, and could be moved very easily AND small that wouldn't take up room. I know that's a lot to ask, but I'm holding out hope of getting a budget wheel(T150) in about two months, and this is my only chance of making it work. Thanks guys!

Saw this a while ago - the ottoman sim rig.

It's pretty much the perfect solution. It's hidden, but still close to the TV, so you don't have to spend a lot of time rigging it up and down every time you play.

Nice, but unless they are offering just the plans it's not a DIY project, which is what I like about the OP kit.

Let it evolve. Mine started from free scrap wood, and as I got the money I upgraded pieces to the full seat and wheel stand assembly.
