Home screen icon looks like store icon?

Have been trying to find out what that icon on the top of home screen that sometimes has a different number along with it (three heads w/number) all in blue ? can anyone let me in on what this is and what the number represents? please and thanks for your time !

It's the number of consecutive days you've played GT6, corresponding to your daily login bonus level.

The icon over which that number is superimposed is money (note, three coins), alongside your current amount of GT6 credits.
