I lost all my tunes for my 95 EG6, 95 DC2, EK, ect..

Does anyone have the tranny set up for a 2nd gear launch with any of these cars?

I lost all my data due to a lightning strike on my ps3 and had to buy a new one.

Any help would be very appreciated!

You are better off tuning for a first gear launch.

if you tuned them once why cant you just retune them??? and Slash is correct 1-2 quick shift is best bet for almost all hondas

I dont think anyone has a 2nd gear launch tune. Thats just not done.

They said the same for AWD's....most of my AWD cars are tuned like RWD cars and are still fast as 🤬.

Ironically enough they were tuned like that 2 1/2 years ago. Thats how well they hell up.

He probably thinks second gear would be best to combat wheel spin like a no-stripe, ACR or other rwd cars with poor traction and lots of power, but using ballast will help control wheel spin on a fwd car.

This.

This ^^^^, it shouldn't be that hard to retune again, I lost my tranny tune on my EVO with the last patch and was able to make it faster after retuning it.

I agree with what everyone else says.. The only Honda I launch in 2nd gear is the accord, the rest are at least quick shifts or 1st gear ride outs.. Do a tranny flip were with 6th gear pushed all the way to the right (on the clicker) you end up around 135mph.. Push first gear clicker all the way to the left.. With proper weight that should get you your 1-2 quick shift without touching 2nd gear.. Then adjust 3rd and 4th for balance 👍

You are better off tuning for a first gear launch.

For example, My old 95 DC2 had a tune set up for drag and I always launched in 2nd and it would grab and launch very well.

After lightning fried my PS3 and lost all my cars, I stopped playing the game for a solid 6 months and kinda forgot how to tune and set up the tranny to do so.

I just need the final drive, LSD settings, and first and second gear settings as a starting point and the rest I can take some time and tune the rest of the car.

Final ratio ~ .800 above the minimum, slide top speed to lowest setting, then slide final ratio to lowest. From there you should have a decent setup for any low horsepower FF car. Change the ratio before flip if the top speed is too low or too high.

All of this info, and more, is available in the stickied guides - including my own.

What is the top speed that you select before setting up the final drive and gear ratios?

A little birdy (snake) told me a good set up for Hondas on the 1/4mile.

Transmission: Start by resetting to default, and put your final gear to 3.650.
Slide the max speed bar completely left (to the lowest speed).
Now slide the final gear all the way to the left (again lowest number).

First gear all the way to the left, second about 40% (from left to right), 3rd at about 70-75, 4th at 90%, 5 and 6 furthest right (top speed in the corner should now be between 130 and 133).

Body: Try some different ballast weights, but start with about 100kg (alway put it to the furthest front).
make sure there is no aerodynamic downforce (ie wing) because that will only slow you down

Suspension:----front-------back
height:---------min---------max
springs:--------min---------max
dampers (e)----10-----------1
dampers (c)-----1-----------10
anti roll----------doesnt matter

camber---------0.0---------3.0-3.5
toe------------0.0-0.15____-1.00

Make sure all parts are installed.

When you run it launch in first gear and quickly shift into second. and shift about 2-300 past redline.

Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I will certainly give it a try sometime today. Always good to have message board members that help.

What's the proper LSD settings

What's the proper LSD settings

LSD settings wont matter in the 1/4 mile, just on the racetrack. Theoretically it should help the differential lock up earlier and give better acceleration in a straight line, but has no affect whatsoever for your time at Indy or SSRX. Not sure why but it doesn't.

I've been running 55, 55, 20 for LSD setting. I have a feeling I can do a lil bit better.

This^^ i tested on a few cars the other day,ran without lsd and with lsd with an auto trans.just having it equipped made a difference of .001, and messing with settings made zero changes
