The EP3 Civic is honestly my favorite Civic and I especially love the Si & Type R models. With that said, I want a premium model of the EP3 Honda Civic at it's best; which would be the Type R model with its facelift in 2004 (I think). Why the facelifted version?

Here's why:
2004 saw this successful CTR updated with many improvements - revised EPS with quicker steering, revised suspension settings, projector headlamps (JDM came equipped with halogens only while the EDM came with an option for HIDs with self-levelling motors), lighter clutch and flywheel assembly etc.; based on Honda literature, this facelifted (FL) model was targeted at addressing customers' and critics' feedback such as understeer on the limit (due to the front MacPherson strut setup), numb steering response and lack of low end torque.

Basically, the 2004 version of the EP3 Type R was a sharper and more responsive animal than the first version of the EP3 Type R. I also kinda like the more aggressive body kit on it.

This will be the one car you will always see the avatar shifting, in Driver's View. I had a Nighthawk Black '04 Si and one of my brother's mates sat in it. He says the shifter is so high, it's like working a forklift  One of my nephew's liked it so much, he has his Nighthawk black '02 as his first car, for 3years now. I sometimes get the itch every time I see an EP3 Type-R around town. 👍
