In 2009, Honda Japan decided to import and to sell FN2 Civic Type R in spring and named it Type R Euro. However, due to the recession which began with the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy, its release was postponed to winter. They started to sell this car, which was limited to 2,010, on November. A year later, Honda decided to sell them again, and the cars were all sold out on June, 2012.
