Name to be simplified to Honda NSX-GT Type S '22 if it ever gets added in-game.
This livery is apparently the most recognizable of the NSX-GT Type S when it competed, likely because of it being a Red Bull livery on a Honda; at the time, Red Bull, using Honda engines, were unbeatable in F1 until 2024, but this particular car with said livery wasn't too successful in Super GT. The livery is somewhat reminiscent of the Honda Mugen Motul Civic Si that has appeared in previous games.
This model is the last of the NSX's in the Japanese Super GT series and was converted from an MR to an FR.
In 2020, the Honda NSX in Super GT racing underwent a major redesign where its original mid-engined layout was switched to a front-engined one, becoming an FR machine to become more in line with the Class One regulations that were adapted for use in both Super GT and DTM, but still retained the familiar body shape and proportions so that the front-engined redesign wasn't too obvious.
The front-engined NSX-GT was an instant success when it competed during the 2020 season, with the #100 RAYBRIG model at the time, driven by Naoki Yamamoto and Tadasuke Makino taking the championship from the #37 Toyota GR Supra during the last round.
Two years later, following the unveiling of the NSX Type S, which would be the final iteration of the second-generation NSX, the Super GT car also followed suit, with a front fascia inspired by this facelifted model. Like its predecessors, it is powered by a two-litre four-cylinder turbo engine producing up to 650 horsepower and produces downforce that would rival that of prototype machines.
The model depicted here is the #16 Red Bull Motul MUGEN NSX-GT Type S, an instantly recognizable livery due to Honda and Red Bull's success in Formula One at the time, and was driven by Ukyo Sasahara and Toshiki Oyu, which placed 14th on the drivers' standings.
