Hi all,

I purchsed the NSX for 120,000 whilst drunk :) (not a good idea playing this game after a few!)

Anyway, I think this car has the potential to be one of the quickest around Suzuka.

EDIT: The only car in the top 50 (or 100?) time PP650 Time Trail @ Suzuka that is not a Lotus is the NSX Type R '02 - I guess my hunch was right =)

Does anyone have a decent NSX setup that I could try please? The tail seems so slide-happy and over certain crests the car starts to lose rear-end grip. Can be a bit 'tank-slapper'ish at times! Still, getting used to it and learning to treat it smoothly!

Here's my setup (just trial and error!):

PP: 650

Power: 437 (+47)
Weight: 1231 (97%)
Tire: R3/F, R3/R
Aero Dynamic: - - -

Car Height: -23/F, -23/R
Spring Rate: 6/F, 7/R
Damper: 6/F, 7/R
Toe Angle: 0.00/F, +0.00/R
Neg Camber: 0.00/F, 0.00/R
Brake Balance: 7/F, 7/R
F/R Power Distribution: - - -

Max Wheel Angle: 37
Traction Control: OFF
ABS: 2
1st: 40mph 3.190
2nd: 65mph 1.965
3rd: 85mph 1.445
4th: 108mph 1.170
5th: 140mph 0.905
6th: 180mph 0.795
final drive: 4.690

Fastest lap (online): 2:10

transmission: auto
Professional physics
TC: off
ASM: on
SIXAXIS (2x analogue sticks)

I seem to have tamed the beast! I think the gear ratios were wrong, lack of toe and camber was a problem, wheel angle was way too high and the gear ratios were not right. Live and learn!

Here is my adjusted setup (changes in bold):

PP: 650

Power: 437 (+47)
Weight: 1231 (97%)
Tire: R3/F, R3/R
Aero Dynamic: - - -

Car Height: -23/F, -23/R
Spring Rate: 6/F, 6/R
Damper: 6/F, 6/R
Toe Angle: 0.00/F, +0.15/R
Neg Camber: 1.5/F, 1.5/R
Brake Balance: 7/F, 7/R
F/R Power Distribution: - - -

Max Wheel Angle: 30
Traction Control: OFF
ABS: 2
1st: 40mph 3.190
2nd: 65mph 1.965
3rd: 88mph 1.430
4th: 110mph 1.150
5th: 132mph 0.960
6th: 180mph 0.795
final drive: 4.690

EDIT: This is a quick car on this track - having checked the rankings, someone has the only non-Lotus entry for Suzuka PP650 TT and it was set by an NSX Type R with a time of 2:06.

Its fast the NSX is 11 years wining on japanese GT races! There a lot of fast cars i do a 134 place on viper SRT-10 on fuji! So just try different cars! Sorry for offtop!

i'll be working on setting one up tonight, so keep an eye out for my settings. but i might use yours for a base pattern if you know what i mean. but i think using automatic would not be good for this car, as the power relies a lot on the high rpm range, and with an auto maybe is the reason why it's sluggish. but honda's are bad for not having a lot of low end power anyways :D

I don't find it sluggish. It's the high-revving power that catches me out often. Without aids, this car needs to be driven smoothly! Still can't better my 2:10 and someone has done a 2:06!!!

Not sure how good my settings are - feel free to try, of course, but I don't really know what I am doing hehe.

EDIT: Weird, I just did a really messy, ragged 2:09. My split at the halfway-ish point was 58.9 which is fairly slow. Somehow, I kept control in the last half (nearly lost it a few times). It was a messy lap, not smooth at all. The time has surprised me when considering how untidy the lap was. Hmmm...

Hi, I don't understand why this avesome car is so uncontrollable during the first lap with cold tyres...any suggestions? Driving it made me shudder, but after the first laps the driving totally change!

I don't think it's tyres... the car is a bit on edge and needs getting a feel for each time.

Anyone else set some fast laps on Suzuka with the NSX?

Not yet, But I will definatly try tomorow if i have an hour or so...

remember when i raced 650 pp suzuka with my nsx, fastest i did was about 2.03.800 or something like that, had 25 wins in a row or something with that insane car :P
